Baiyun Mountain also called White Cloud Mountain is a very famous place in Guangzhou.
I went on a day trip with my friends and had fun!
I definitely recommend this mountain! There are many activities here such as bungee Jumping and its a beautiful mountain!

I and my friends decided to go on a picnic to Baiyun mountain which is located in the north of guangzhou city. Here is a brief review about the place.
White Cloud Mountain (Baiyun Mountain)
From ancient times, White Cloud Mountain has been one of the most famous spots of natural beauty in Guangzhou, and it's still known as the First Spectacular Scene of the city. Every time the sun shines after the rain, and through late spring, a wreath of airy clouds circles the mountains. This is how White Cloud Mountain has won its name, and its reputation as a marvelous spectacle of nature. The fierce differentiation of rocks, and the different ways in which erosion has affected them, has caused it a crisscross network of gullies. So its relative height is now about 100 meters (109 yards). The quiet and secluded environment of the valley has made it a haven of peace from the big city.
People always describe the natural beauty of Guangzhou as being composed of white cloud and pearl sea, the white cloud referring to the mountain, located about 17 kilometers (10 miles) north of the city. The total area of White Cloud Mountain is about 28 square kilometers (10 square miles), consisting of 30 peaks. Moxing Ridge (Star-Scraping Ridge), known as 'the first peak under the southern sky', is about 382 meters (417 yards) high. You can stand on the summit and look over the whole city and the beautiful Pearl River, the most famous river in Guangzhou.

Baiyun Mountain, formerly romanized as Pakwan, is a mountain range in Guangzhou, Báiyún is Mandarin Chinese for White Clouds, derived from views of the mountain's peaks shrouded in mist during late Spring or after a rain.Its former English name, Pakwan, is a form of the Cantonese pronunciation of the same name. In English, it is also known as White Cloud Mountain. From the foot of the mountain the Baiyun Cableway can be taken 198 meters (650 ft) up the mountain to Peak Park. HOW TO HIKE BAYIUN MOUNTAIN IN GUANGZHOU
People usually tell me there is nothing to do in Guangzhou... I found this amazing Bayiun mountain for some hiking! Beautiful!
Started the day missing my alarm in the morning so I though not much could be done in this day in Guangzhou, but after some quick research I realized there was this Bayiun mountain that I could go for a hike.
I gather with another friend in the lobby and here we went for this amazing hike.
The way to the top is quite easy with lots of places where you can replenish your drinks or food and in general this hike is quite easy. The view from the top is beautiful!
I looking forward to travel more in China and see what to do in China.

We were in Guangzhou, China! Today, we take the cable car up to Baiyun mountain. It was the weekend, during the Golden Week. Thankfully we got to the foot of the mountain (or more like hill) early. It would get far more crowded later in the day. Go early!
