La Paz Mexico - Baja California Sur Overlanding | Ep 16 | Baja California Overland Adventure
This is episode 16 La Paz Mexico - Baja California Sur Overlanding of my new series from 2017 Xmass trip called: Baja California Overland Adventures
On day 16 of this Baja California road trip, having previously travel to La Paz Baja California Sur Mexico the night before, we woke up to the day of saying good byes. Bred and Bratt would proceed further to Cabo San Lucas and rent a house for over a month, where as I had to start returning back to Canada. Estimating it would take me 5 days to get through mexico while not doing huge distance pushes and then big 2 day push thought USA to Canada.
La Paz is not a big city and is quite charming with good prices on everything compared to Cabo San Lucas. From La Paz travel up to north east to hit some of the nicest beaches in the area, and there are a lot of them, free or payed to stay over night. One of them being famous Balandra La Paz beach.
I've traveled about 4 hours north west trying to hit Baja 1000 route along the pacific ocean side the next day. Having arrived at perfect golden hour sunset at some sort of fishing boats spot with a light house, I called that place home for the night enjoying the slow sunset views. I wish I would have more time to fish in the river near by the next day but return to Canada can't wait.
Overlanding mexico in general means hitting dirt roads when you least expect them. One moment you are driving on highway that can suddenly turn into unpaved highway, and your Baja overland trip may just suddently become spontaneously more fun. The next day of trying to do portions of Baja 1000 would prove to be very unpredictable and full of confusion and suprises.

Fishing FRENZY on the Sea of Cortez | La Paz, Baja California Sur
In this video you will see what to expect on a fishing tour on the Sea of Cortez in Baja California Sur, Mexico. We booked our charter with Tailhunter International Sportfishing in La Paz and our captain did not disappoint! We were out on the water just before sunrise and once our fishing poles were in the warm Sea of Cortez water, the fish started biting nonstop. We caught at least 7 types of fish including: Dorado(mahi mahi), Sea Bass, Snapper, Bonito, Trumpet Fish, and countless Needlefish. Don’t miss the opportunity to fish the Sea of Cortez in Baja California Sur, Mexico - totally worth it!

We've been having some limp mode issues with the van. Being in La Paz we tried the mercedes dealership, but they didn't work on Sprinters.
So we got our van checked out at a Mercedes qualified shop in La Paz, Camiones Vence Sup La Paz. We tinted our windows for $15usd, got a rack built for our van (for Cheap, here is that video here: We locate the cheap groceries, we find hot showers, and plenty more. Come along with the kookz and see what a week in a city of Vanlife Mexico is all about.

The total length of this trip including Island visits will be more than 10.000 nautical miles. Sailing Mexico, Episode 4 Los Cabos to La Paz
In Episode 4 of The Adventure Travelers Sailing Mexico; we sail from Los Cabos to La Paz, making anchorage in Los Frailes, Bahia de los Muertos, sailing through the Cerralvo Pass and dropping the hook in Balandra Cove before finally making port in La Paz, Mexico!
High points include: Surfing a small point break and snorkeling with hundreds of Mobola (manta ray family). Sailing with Swift Ranger again (our friends Pat and Alaina from the band Tennis), sailing with whales, and some great drone footage.

While we were in La Paz, everyone told us we HAD to go on a tour of Espiritu Santo, the nearby island. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and we even got to swim with sea lions!
