Local Dive at Land's End, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico With Manta Scuba 12-8-2017
My second two tank dive in Cabo San Lucas. This is considered a local dive at the popular Land's End. Area and attractions include Neptune's Finger, Pelican Rock, El Arco, the drop-off/sand falls, sea lions, the wreck of the SS Harry Lundeberg, and tons of fish. I dove with the same group and dive company as my first dive.

This is a little Scuba Diving Video, part of it filmed by the staff of Cabo Adventures. We dove around Land's End and through the world famous Cabo Arch. We went through a colony of Sea Lions and saw a Green Sea Turtle.

Short clip unedited (Part 1) from one of our two 35 minute dives at Lands End where the Famous Arch and the Sea of Cortez meets The Pacific Ocean. Diving with Manta Diving- Cabo San Lucas Marina. Near the end we find ourselves at about 70 feet with a nice visit from a California Sea Lion. Another great dive!
Lands End defines what diving in the Sea of Cortez is all about, anything can show up! Next to the famous Arch, the most southern rock of the Baja Penninsula, look out to the Pacific Ocean, nothing but boundless ocean meets the eye...
Between two immense rock pinnacles we begin the dive over 30 feet of sandy bottom, look out for small rays buried in the sand. Out from the sheer rock face there is a small wreck at that is the home to a cleaning station of surgeon and barber fish.
Next is the 'Ice Berg' a large rocky pinnacle that just breaks the surface. Grouper shadow schools of baitfish while Cormorants, a diving bird, hunt underwater. Look into the cracks for green, zebra and jewel morays. Look out into the blue for occassional schools of mobula and cow nose rays passing by...
We return to the main rocky edifice accompanied by Bumphead Parrotfish cleaning the rocky walls, and Giant Hawkfish perched on lookout. Nudibranchs are commonly found hiding between Sea Fans on the way to the Sea Lion colony.
Facing north is the flat rocky islet home of the resident Sea Lion colony. Playful barking announces their presence as they enter the water where they dance acrobatically for underwater photographers and amazed divers. When the sea is calm, we'll enter a canyon were they like to play and chase each other for a safety stop like no other!
Scuba Diving Cabo San Lucas Land's End Sand Falls & More
Well I've always said that diving is like pizza. It's all good. Some is just better than others. I dove 6 dives at Cabo's Land's End in really murky water. The Visibility was really bad. But close up to the wall, I saw some pretty neat things, so it was worth the effort. I had come to dive Cabo Pulmo's giant fish balls marine sanctuary, which was a 2 hour drive in each direction from our hotel. I dove it twice and it was great. But I wanted to try Land's End too, as it was within sight of our hotel.
So this really cool. I dove Land's End which is the tip of Cabo where you see the arch that's in all the pictures. Below the arch is a wall that you can follow and as you descend to about 60 feet, you'll see the sand fall that's like a waterfall, but made of sand. It seems to flow 24/7 365 days a year. Sometimes more or sometimes less, but it's very interesting to see. It's hard to imagine that the sand can fall forever, but it does and while the concept is more exciting that the sight, it was still very cool.
Also, I went right after the 2014 Cabo hurricane Odile and there is an old Japanese wreck that was uncovered on the Pacific side of Land's End. It doesn't have much growth yet, but that was cool. It evidently sunk around 1954 but was just uncovered by the storm.
Also an interesting factoid is that we entered in the Sea of Cortez and swam around the point into the Pacific Ocean. So that was cool too. So you never know what you're going to see when you go down. But as long as your under, it's all good.

I had a wonderful Scuba diving in Cabos San Lucas with Manta Dive shop. And, I have to say diving with MANTA was fun/exciting and my dive master - Paco is a very knowledgeable diver. If you are planning a diving trip to Cabos San Lucas, I would recommend Manta Dive shop.
