Nelson Road Kings Parade on Baker Street - 2102
An amazing collection of classic cars, vintage pick-ups, hot-rods, muscle cars and more in this Nelson Road King parade down picturesque Baker Street in Nelson BC Canada.
HD Video film/edit/production by:
This video was created using two high definition cameras that were filming the parade at different angles; one camera facing forward and the other camera rear facing. Final Cut was used to squeeze both videos together so they play side-by-side rendering a unique double perspective on the front and rear of these classic cars as they parade down Baker Street.
The Nelson Electric Tramway | Nelson, British Columbia (Canada) | Complete Loop
The Nelson Electric Tramway
Complete Loop from Lakeside Rotary Park to Baker Street and back (July 2019)
The Nelson Electric Tramway is a heritage railway in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. It uses two restored vintage streetcars (car 23 and car 400) which carry tourists along Nelson's waterfront and was the first operating heritage streetcar line in British Columbia. The service is seasonal, starting on the Easter weekend and ending on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend each year. It is operated by the non-profit Nelson Electric Tramway Society (NETS). The line was opened on June 15, 1992.
Nelson's original streetcar system operated from 1899 to 1949. It was run by the privately owned Nelson Electric Tramway Ltd. from 1899 until 1908 and then, following a suspension of service when a fire destroyed a substation, was restored to operation in 1910 by a newly formed Nelson Street Railway Company and, in turn, became municipally owned in 1914. The heritage streetcar line adopted the name of the town's first streetcar company.

The String Birds on Baker Street in Nelson BC
These ladies have been pickin' n' singin' tunes together for a couple years now. They have a deep reverence for old timey, bluegrass and ol' country tunes. Rachel Swan is a guitar wielding gal who likes singin' n' pickin' and does a mighty fine job at both. Genie Sittig is a fine fiddlin' momma and has recently takin' a real likin' to the big ol' stand up bass. Sherri Kyle sings like an angel and her guitar pickin' ain't too shabby neither. Jill Zinszer loves to play the ol' banjo, ol' timey styles all the way. She might even pick up her new love, the fiddle, for a tune or two.
