Idaho William Adventure to Balanced Rock in Idaho
Idaho William takes you on a journey for a rock, but not just any rock.. Balanced rock. A 48 foot tall, 40 ton wind carved rock that sits on a base about 3 ft . We made a pit stop in Bliss to check out the scenic byway maps. After the hike, we stopped at the Balance Rock park along the Salmon Falls Creek. **I do not own rights to the music, name of song, name of artist, and this music not intended to infringe copyright laws. The song is by R. Carlos Nakai and is called Rocks and Rills.*

Howdy YouTubers!
TURN UP THE VOLUME ON THIS ONE! it's a little hard to hear the subtle notes in some of the passages.
this an edited version of a video previously uploaded under the same title. Sony had the original version blocked world wide. I don't begrudge YouTube for having to implement the block. they're living up to their end of the deal they had to make with Sony.
the version of Dvorak's New World used in this edition of the video isn't quite as pretty as the last, but alas this version is at least not encumbered by Sony.
this melody evokes the deep seated visions and memories of my native Idaho and its breathtaking beauty.

Deep Creek, Idaho HD
Same vid with 26% more pixels! IdahoGold, this tiny creek flows into the Snake River not far from Buhl, ID. I was only really able to pull the phone out but couple few times. Not quite descript of the full five mile run; which was simply surreal to say the least, a lot to see in the middle of nowhere. The day was characterized by being cool, rainy with plenty o mud, cow shit, brush over grown river banks, technical rock jumbles, hot wired cow fences strung across the river, and a couple 16'+ waterfalls.

Week In Review (Season 3 Week 11)
Week 11 was spent entirely in the Twin Falls, Idaho area.
We spent the week at Balanced Rock Park outside Buhl, Idaho which is near Twin Falls, Idaho. The campground is free for 7 days out of 30 and has no services other than trash barrels. It has a slow moving creek which had many kayakers over the week. We hiked back into the the canyon until we couldn't go any further. One of the ladies in a kayak told us that normally you can continue by going into the water in order to get around the corner. She said the water was too high to do it now.
The Twin Falls waterfall was a letdown because it is no longer a twin. One side has been blocked by 2 power plants.
Shoshone Falls was only a few miles from Twin Falls and it did not disappoint. In my opinion, it is much more interesting and beautiful than Niagara Falls in New York. The falls are taller, 212 feet, than Niagara Falls.
About an hour north of the Shoshone Falls is the Shoshone Ice Cave. It was pretty cool in both ways as it is only 28 degrees Fahrenheit inside and it is only 100 feet underground. The Shoshone Ice Cave is about 1700 feet long, 50 feet wide and 45 feet tall.
