Black River Cheese Company
The following video and article first appeared online in 2008 on the award-winning Web site Video and article produced by Jennifer Lester Media for the Economic Development Office of Prince Edward County. *** Black River Cheese Company was established in 1901 as a co-op for local dairy farmers. It continues to serve the same purpose to this day, operating from the same site on the banks of Black Creek, near Milford. The new building was erected following a devastating fire in 2001. It serves as the cheesemaking facility and store, where locals and tourists regularly stop for traditional treats like cheese curd and ice cream. Black River Cheese is known for its award-winning cheddars, including the popular new favourite: maple cheddar, made with local maple syrup. The cheese factory is now run by managers Jim Atchison and Bill McKendry and cheesemaker, Jonathon Aulthouse.

Consolidation Tee02
Converted from my late father's 8mm home movies, this is probably the rarest railway video clip on the net. First up is Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway's 'Consolidation' (4-6-0) #103 steam locomotive and tender being moved by truck from Gage Park in Hamilton, Ontario to Westfield Heritage Village in Flamborough, Ontario for restoration and display. Next is a short clip of an IN-SERVICE Ontario Northland Railway TEE (Trans Europe Express) trainset 'The Northlander' waiting at North Bay, Ontario. Hope you enjoy it!
