Haunted Graveyards : The Grey Lady of Balderton
A site survey of the Haunted Graveyard. St Giles Church is located in the village of Balderton, Nottinghamshire, England. Originally a Saxon Church, built circa 1000 AD, a Norman Church was rebuilt on site circa 1154. St Giles has witnessed the course of English history. In 1349 when The Black Death swept through England, Balderton suffered the same as most places, between a third and a half of the population died. A large communal Plague Pit was dug and all the infected corpses laid to rest inside. This Plague Pit still exists today, beneath the Georgian and Victorian gravestones.
St Giles is a Haunted church. Haunted by a Grey Lady who has been seen several times over the centuries. This Ghost not only Haunts the Graveyard itself, but also inside the spire. As such, The Grey Lady of St Giles Haunts both inside and outside the church. Her identity is not known, and whilst it is possible she died of The Black Death in 1349, being buried in The Plague Pit along with her community, it should be remembered that of the many Grey Lady and White Lady Ghosts which exist up and down the country, a large proportion of these have their origins in Elizabethan times. That being said, it has proved impossible to identity either the name or historic period of The Grey Lady.
The Grey Lady of Balderton, from all accounts, appears to be a benign Haunting. If she does notice the living, she makes no attempt to try and contact them. A peaceful Haunting.

Fernwood & Balderton 3D
This is a short observational documentary of Fernwood & Balderton, Nottinghamshire, England.
It was filmed in 'Side By Side 3D' on the afternoon of Sunday 18th May 2014. The aim was to travel between Fernwood and Balderton, showing places of interest along the way.
The majority of the video is in an almost raw footage state due to this being observational and wanting to capture life exactly how it was at that particular moment in the areas shown.
Fernwood and Balderton are neighbouring villages and this video captures historical architecture moving into modern times with a local football cup final.
PLACES SHOWN
1) Clock Tower, Fernwood
2)Balderton Hall, Fernwood
3)Entry into Balderton
4)Main Street, Balderton
5)Brisbane Court, Balderton

46115 'Scots Guardsman' on 'The White Rose' at Newark. 26th June 2010
My first encounter with a 'Royal Scot' as 46115 rarely trecks around these parts, so I had to make an effort to go and see it!
Here we see Dave Smith's resplendent Royal Scot Class No.46115 'Scots Guardsman' screech through Newark Northgate, Whitehouse Lane Crossing on 'The White Rose' running slightly behind time with a rake of 8 maroons coaches.
Before commenting on this video, please note I WAS NOT TRESPASSING, it is a public footpath which crosses the ECML after Newark Flat Crossing. After the train passes you can see a man standing against a signal gantry, he WAS tresspasing but only took that position when the train was approaching, and left straight after the train had passed. Everyone was very responsible!
