EXPLORING NORTH BADUNG – SOUTH BALI PART 1 #BaliGoLiveAdventure #BaliGoLiveDestination
You probably know Badung for its beautiful beaches, well this regency has much more to offer than beautiful beaches! Here are some of the places to visit in North Badung area:
1. Taman Ayun Temple
Taman Ayun Temple or Mengwi Royal Temple is located in Mengwi Village, Badung Regency and about 18 Km north side of Denpasar. It is strategically located beside of major roadway between Denpasar to Singaraja. It is set on the land which is surrounded by the big fish pond and look like a drift on the water. “Taman Ayun” means “Beautiful Garden. The wide beautiful landscape garden in front courtyard to welcome all visitors who come and visit this temple. Inspired by Chinese architectural, built in 1634. The temple is considered as the “Mother Temple” of Mengwi. Be fascinated by the panoramic temple landscape and the green lush garden while strolling around within this temple complex!
2. Bagus Agro Pelaga
Set in 18 hectares in central Bali, the eco-friendly property nurtures and supports the natural offerings of the land and environment whilst maintaining the lavish experience your break deserves. More than 17 hectares are used strictly for organic farming and manufacturing. The inspiration for this property comes from the “Tri Hita Karana”, meaning harmony with people, harmony with God and harmony with nature.
The site caters to those wanting a private experience as well as to families wanting to spend a holiday close to nature. It is also a perfect honeymoon destination for couples to celebrate their romance. Explore Balinese enchanting culture and fascinating tradition through a great array of activities scheduled in Bagus Agro Pelaga!
3. Sangeh Monkey Forest
The sanctuary of grey long-tailed macaques is located near to Sangeh Village; the renowned 13-hectare forest is filled with giant nutmeg trees capable of growing as high as 40m. The main attractions here are the hordes of funny yet wise Balinese monkeys inhabiting both the trees and the temple, Pura Bukit Sari, found deep in the greens among the monkeys. The monkeys of the forest are believed to be sacred and indeed will approach anyone paying respects at the temple. But visitors should be aware that these monkeys are attracted to shiny objects, so cameras and jeweler should be left behind or kept well hidden under clothes or in a bag when exploring the forest. Also, to respect the sacred sanctuary, don’t forget to pay attention to the ground rules of this place!
4. Tirta Taman Mumbul Temple
Situated in the ravishing scenery in Sangeh Village of Badung Regency, not far from Sangeh Monkey Forest, the area was mostly only visited by locals prior to early 2016, when it was developed as a tourist attraction. Huge trees, shading an expansive clear green pool, more akin to a lake is edged by a beautiful temple, Pura Ulun Mumbul, placed in the middle of the pond. It is believed that the water springs can cash any form of negative energy away.
The water temple, lake, bathing pools and surrounds at picturesque Tirta Taman Mumbul is an idyllic and serene spot to take a break and maybe partake in a ritual water cleanse. Get in touch with your spiritual side in this blissful and peaceful place!

Ubud royal palace, Bali, Indonesia
Ubud royal palace, Bali, Indonesia 2013
The Ubud Palace, officially Puri Saren Agung, is a historical building complex situated in Ubud, Gianyar Regency of Bali, Indonesia.
The palace is the official residence of the royal family of Ubud. It was on his travels that he received a divine revelation that in Bali he was to bury five precious metals on a mountain slope where the mother temple of Besakih now stands today. Along with a group of followers, Rsi Markaneya was magnetically attracted to a destination located in the central foothills of the island that radiated light and energy. This place was Campuhan in Ubud at a junction in the Wos River and it was here that he felt compelled to build a temple by the name of Pura Gunung Lebah.
The Balinese village of Ubud can trace its roots to as far back as the 8th century. It is documented on ancient palm leaf scripts that a revered holy man from India by the name of Rsi Markaneya embarked on a spiritual journey across Java and eventually came to the island of Bali to spread the teachings of Hinduism.

FUN TRIP in BALI, Indonesia (part II) HD
FUN TRIP in BALI, Indonesia
Today we trip to Penglipuran Village, Tegalalang Rice teras in Ubud, and pass the balangan beach.
The name of Pengelipuran village according to the elder villager is taken from the word 'Pengeling Pura' which that means remember to the ancestors. This story is attributed to the pilgrimage of ancestral communities in the region of Bayung Gede village located in Kintamani area to the Penglipuran village. To remember the prayers of their ancestors, they build a place for praying equal with the altar existing at Bayung Gede village. Their praying place is called by Bale Agung Temple, Puseh Temple, Dalem Temple and Dukuh Temple. The fourth temples are nowadays still supported by Penglipuran villagers. Sense being aware of or remember their ancestral homeland of Bayung Gede village is the real meaning of the construction of those temples.
This trip to Bali was one that was strictly for fun so our biggest goal was to leave the island totally relaxed. As such, we’d all decided to alternate days between being utterly lazy (like that day) with days spent exploring the island.
After a delicious home-cooked breakfast at the villa, we were picked up by our driver and headed straight for our first sight – The Tegalalang rice terraces in Ubud.
Walking through the rice terraces, you just couldn’t help but be impressed. The sheer scale of it from the top and even as you descend into it is pretty spectacular.
When you visit the terraces, it’s probably worth noting that there’s not much shade so take an umbrella with you if you’re that way inclined, definitely use a lot of sunscreen and bring at least a small bottle of water with you (you can buy water from the stalls across the road when you’re done here if you’re really thirsty).
Anyhow, carried away by how brilliant green the rice terraces were compared to the last time we visited, we pretty much went off to explore every possible nook and cranny!
Denpasar - capital of Bali, Indonesia
English subs available!
For over a century, Bali has fascinated the Western imagination. The island embodies the very essence of the exotic and mysterious East. Steep hillsides of tropical green reveal terraced rice paddies while plantations of coffee, banana, cacao and fragrant spices line the roads. Monkeys haunt the grounds of a sacred temple in a forest, while traditional villages produce intricately stylized batik, superb jewelry and beautiful paintings. And Balinese dance, with its angular movements and rhythms, remains somehow stirring and shocking. Bali may be accessible, but it remains forever exotic.
Tour from the ship. Description:
Feel the artistic pulse of Bali with this five-hour guided excursion that takes you on an arts and crafts adventure through Denpasar and its surroundings villages. There will be a moderate amount of walking so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
After boarding your motorcoach, you'll head southwest along the coast. Looking out toward the sparkling waters of the Badung Straight, you'll see the small island of Nusa Penida, home to a bird sanctuary for endangered Balinese and Indonesian bird species, including the critically endangered Bali starling.
After arriving in Denpasar you may be surprised at the hustle and bustle; it is, after all, Bali's capital city with a population of over 500,000 and a thriving economy. Denpasar, which means next to the market, is aptly named.
Being the center of city in the Island there is one of Center Temple name Jagatnatha Temple Dedicated for main God by Hindu in Denpasar . Although it may look like it's been sitting there for centuries it was actually built in the mid-20th century but its symbolism and holiness is just as sacred as those you'll find throughout the country. Across from the temple you can see Puputan Square, which commemorates the suicidal battle of the Badung rajahs against the Dutch militia in 1906.
Next, you'll tour the Museum Negeri Propinsi Bali, more commonly known as the Bali Museum. Inside this stunning example of Balinese architecture you'll find five pavilions filled with over 10,500 exhibits spread out over 28,000 square feet.
Move further from Denpasar to the east there is Art and Traditional Market of Sukawati , the largest Art Market in Bali . Here, you'll find stalls filled with produce of carving, painting, clothing, costumes, household items, and gold and silver jewelry. Haggling and bartering is expected so feel free to join in.
Now, it's on to more shopping in the village of Celuk, known as the gold and silversmith capital of Bali. During your visit you can shop for jewelry in one of the many markets that line the village before we continue our trip to Kemenuh the near by Village.
In the Village. After a warm welcome, you'll be treated to a cup of coffee accompanied with a slice of kue. Sometimes sweet and sometimes savory, this cake is made with 20 thin layers of different flavors and stacked on top of each other and steamed or fried.
Your final stop is the village of Tohpati, considered the center of Balinese hand weaving and handmade batik prints. The roots of batik date back 2,000 years but it was the Balinese who turned it into an art form. After you disembark, you'll tour a local batik factory and watch the entire process ? from stamping the fabric with wax, to dyeing and finally, the finished product.
At the conclusion of your tour, you'll reboard your coach and travel back to your waiting ship.

FAQ:
How much it may cost for return flight from Dhaka to Bali?
- Mostly near around 30 thousand per head for return air. Some time discount happens (we got discount from Malindo Air & return cost was only 22k that time).
How much travel may cost in Bali per day?
- Per Day Hotels you will get within BDT 1500 to 2000 (20 USD) for 2 person 1 room. Food per day per head may cost 1000 BDT (10 USD). Other per day per head may cost 1000 BDT too (local trip transport, entrance or other ticket etc.). So, in average, better you keep per day expense 4000 BDT (around 50 USD). It will be enough. Now you plan, how many days you want to stay in Bali/Gili.
AIR
We visited Bali by getting a discount in Malindo Air @ 22k BDT per head return air. Offer not valid now. A transit was there in Kuala Lumpur.
HOTEL
You must choose a hotel in Kuta Square @ Bali. We always prefer Agoda for Hotel Booking:
I was there for 10 days and I tried different hotels. All booked by Agoda using credit card from BD. Take one room for 2 person only. Here is my ranking for my hotels:
1. Suris Boutique Hotel (Nice Pool View Room, Free Buffet Breakfast, Nice Swimming Pool, But 5min Walking Distance from Kuta Sea Beach) @ 2000+ BDT Per Day:
Suris Hotel, Kuta Square, Bali @ Agoda:
2. Hotel Karthi (Big Pool, 2min Walk to Kuta Sea Beach, Free Buffet Breakfast, General Room) @ 2000 BDT
Book Hotel Karthi, Kuta Square, Bali @ Agoda:
3. The Oasis Kuta Hotel (Big Pool, Nice Room, 2min Walk to Kuta Sea Beach, Narrow Entrance) @ 2000 BDT
The Oasis Kuta Hotel, Kuta Square, Bali @ Agoda:
SIGHT SEEING
Book a car from your hotel (more safe) or from a car service provider. Maximum 2 half days (9am to 4pm) car trip is enough to cover all. must visit:
Tegenungan Water Fall (Keep Swimming Dresses with you, nice place to enjoy water fall)
Mount Batur Volcano (Have a Mango Drink There @ 200 BDT Only, Buffet Lunch is expensive there)
Ubud Rice Field (Do Lunch Here, It's Cheap & Great View too)
Uluwatu Temple (Amazing Sea & Hill View) & Must Try Nearest
Padang Padang Hidden Sea Beach too. You may swimm there in clear water.
FOODS
Try international chain foods like KFC/McD/Burger King/A&W etc. Cheap enough. Per Head may cost 300 BDT per meal. Mostly halal.
Very expensive, if you are planning Indian Foods (available near Kuta Square). Per Head may cost 500 to 800 BDT per meal.
GILI ISLAND
Our BTF team was in Bali for only 5 days. Within this time, stay Gili for one day only (go today morning, come back tomm morning). That will be fine. Book fast boat including up down transport from hotel to port (it is in far). Must book return fast boat ticket all together. Talk to your hotel (more safe) or try outside to book. Foods are cheap in Gili. Must try night market & sea food. It is a small island, no cars, only horse ride and by-cycles. Try it. Do not miss to hire a group boat ride to enjoy under water activities (make sure life jacket and safety). You may live in any part of the island as it is small. Hotel prices are same like Bali. I was in a nice banglow Bale Sasak with a swimming pool & free breakfast, all only @ 1500 BDT.
Bale Sasak, Lombok, Gili Indonesia @ Agoda:
SHOPPING
Buy from local shops. Cheap. Other shopping malls are expensive. Must visit 3 shopping malls near Kuta Square:
- Discovery Mall (Visit Both Side, Road Side & Sea Beach Side, In & Out. 5min Walk from Kuta Square)
- BeachWalk Shopping Mall (Excellent Market to Visit & To Watch Cinema)
- Lippo Mall (Cheap Foods at underground, Enjoy Cinema)
@ Afternoon, there are some nice beach side cafe with pool in Kuta Sea Beach, enjoy fresh juice there (@About 200 BDT) with your family. For any more query, feel free to ask. Check our all Bali videos for more detail.

SO SOOONN!! (Final evening at Bali) Day-3 || Bali vlog
Its day 3, today I will be showing the beautiful beaches Bali has to offer. 3 beaches to be exact. I 'll be going through temples which are magical rather than religious. it looks more like a park rather than a temple.
we finish the day off to see the sunset and have dinner while watching it along with some music. yeah, I just get goosebumps thinking about it. anyway, its been 3 days here I will be leaving tomorrow. I am really pleased to see the sunset although the sky was not clear still it was breathtaking to watch.
