We went for a walk in Tuban this morning. Everyone was very friendly ????! Now, there’s very limited public transport on the island, so people use their car, hire/ride scooters or take taxis... As we walked, those kept being offered to us, but as Anna will show you, we just had to keep saying NO!

1 Pura Tanah Lot

For the Balinese people, it is one of the most sacred of all the island's sea temples. (The largest and holiest Hindu temple in Bali is Pura Besakih, but recently local hagglers have been harassing visitors.) Every evening, throngs of tourists from Kuta, Legian, and Sanur find their way through a labyrinth of lanes lined by souvenir sellers to watch the sun setting behind the temple.
2 Mount Batur
Every day in Bali's predawn darkness, hundreds of visitors begin the trek up the 1,700-meter summit of Mount Batur to watch the sun rise above the lush mosaic of mist-shrouded mountains and the caldera far below. This sacred active volcano lies in Kintamani District in Bali's central highlands, about an hour's drive from Ubud, and the hike to the summit to watch the sunrise has long graced the list of top things to do in Bali.
3 Uluwatu Temple
Presiding over plunging sea cliffs above one of Bali's best surf spots, Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu) is one of the island's most famous temples, thanks to its magnificent clifftop setting. In Balinese, Ulu means tip or land's end and Watu means rock, a fitting name for the location of the temple on the Bukit Peninsula along the island's southwestern tip. Like Pura Tanah Lot, sunset is the best time to visit, when the sky and sea glow in the late afternoon light.
7 Waterbom Bali
Waterbom Bali is an action-packed waterpark, in the heart of Kuta, with something for every member of the family. 8 Pura Ulun Danu Bratan
On a small island along the western shore of Lake Bratan, in the cool highlands of central Bali, the 17th-century Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is one of Bali's most picturesque temple complexes. Set against the imposing backdrop of Gunung Bratan, the thatched temples reflect on the lake, and when the water levels rise, they seem to float on its surface. Lake Bratan is one of Bali's main sources of irrigation and drinking water, and the temple complex is dedicated to Dewi Danu, goddess of the sea and lakes.

Kuta Beach is on the western side of the island's narrow isthmus. It's considered Bali's most famous beach resort destination. Kuta Beach is also minutes away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Tuban. The nearby resorts of Tuban, Legian and Seminyak are all within close walking distance. Once a simple, rustic and quiet fishing village, Kuta Beach has witnessed a transformation over the past years. This is due to the rise of various accommodation options, dining and shopping scenes. The rapid growth owes much to visitors, beachcombers and art lovers from nearby Australia. Expatriates also helped pioneer surfing in Kuta, as well. Kuta is administratively a district (kecamatan) and subdistrict/village (kelurahan) in southern Bali, Indonesia.[1] A former fishing village, it was one of the first towns on Bali to see substantial tourist development, and as a beach resort remains one of Indonesia's major tourist destinations. It is known internationally for its long sandy beach, varied accommodation, many restaurants and bars, and many renowned surfers who visit from Australia. It is located near Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport.
Kuta was the site of the October 12, 2002 1st Bali bombing (202 killed) and the October 1, 2005 2nd Bali bombing (26 killed).
The Balinese Provincial Government have taken the view that the preservation of the Balinese culture, natural resources and wildlife are of primary importance in the development of the island. To this end they have limited tourist development to the peninsula on the extreme southern aspect of the island; Kuta beach is on the western side of this peninsula and Sanur is on the east. To the north of the peninsula no new tourist development is supposedly permitted.[citation needed].
To the south, Kuta Beach extends beyond the airport into Jimbaran. Other nearby towns and villages include Seseh (6.4 nm), Denpasar (4.5 nm), Ujung (1.8 nm), Pesanggaran (2.0 nm), Kedonganan (2.9 nm) and Tuban (1.0 nm).

Menelusuri Pantai Yang Tersembunyi (Tuban - Jawa Timur)

LOKASI
Pantai Remen terletak di Desa Remen, Kecamatan Jenu, Kabupaten Tuban, Jatim. Kalau dari Rembang/Semarang menuju timur dekat PLTU awar-awar. Kalau dari Surabaya harus melewati Kota Tuban terlebih dahulu menuju barat, yaitu kecamatan Jenu.
JALAN MENUJU PANTAI
Jalan menuju Pantai Pasir Putih Remen Jenu Tuban cukup mudah, ada dua jalan menuju pantai setelah dari Jalan besar Surabaya Semarang. Dari Tuban Kota setelah Masjid Beji/Pasar Beji ada pertigaan nyerong ke utara, lewat situ bisa.
Dari Barat / Rembang bisa lewat akses pintu masuk TPPI atau Depo Pertamina Jenu. Kondisi jalan mendekati pantai sangat sempit, kalau untuk simpangan dengan sesama kendaraan roda empat harus ada yang mengalah. Tapi cukup aman dan terkendali.
