Pasar Senggol, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia
The night market in Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia, known as Pasar Senggol is an amazing place to eat a range of different Indonesian Balinese street food!
One evening, we headed over to the market at about 5 pm to start eating, and in this video I’ll show you everything I ate on this Balinese street food tour.
Babi guling - Babi guling, or Balinese style roast pig, is one of the ultimate things you have to eat, especially if you enjoy pork, when you’re in Bali. I started the street food tour off with a plate of babi guling. I was alright, but could have been better had it been hot and fresher.
30,000 IDR ($2.20) per plate
Sweets - Along with full meals, you’ll find an abundance of Indonesian street food snacks and desserts. Klepon was my favorite.
1,000 IDR ($0.7) per box
Nasi ayam campur - This stall served one of the best single plates of food I had in Bali, ayam betutu and some mixed chicken all over a plate of rice with all the toppings and mixes. The food was sensational, packed with flavor.
25,000 IDR ($1.84)
Tipat cantok - Similar to another common Indonesian street food called gado gado, tipat cantok includes rice cakes and bean sprouts in a peanut sauce. It was pretty good, and I enjoyed how you could watch her making it in front of you.
7,000 IDR ($0.51)
Serombotan - Finally, to end this Indonesian street food tour in Bali, I had a serving of something called serombotan, a delicious mixture of vegetables and coconut and shrimp paste. It was surprisingly very good and flavorful.
5,000 IDR ($0.37)

Street Food at Gianyar Night Market in Bali, Indonesia
Today we venture out to the Gianyar Night Market where locals eat their tasty Nasi Campur topped off with BBQ Chicken and Steamed Chicken. My Balinese host father guides us to the Indonesian dessert stalls. We try Es Campur (mixed shaved ice) and different kinds of coconut-filled goodies. Can't believe how affordable all this food is! The Ultimate Indonesian Street Food Tour at Gianyar Night Market in Bali
Pasar Senggol, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia
This amazing night market in Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia, known as Pasar Senggol is a nice place to spend the night and eat a variety of different Indonesian Balinese street food!
We headed to the night market at 6pm and in this video, we will show you everything we ate on the Balinese street food tour.
The Balinese suckling pig or Babi guling, is one of the things you have to eat if visiting the market, especially if you are a pork lover like us. We started out the street food tour with a plate of babi guling. It was really nice but Sai wasn't really a fan of all the organs that comes with the dish. I asked for my plate to be mostly pork without the random body parts lol.
After the babi guling we ate a variety of desserts with some being really nice and the others somewhat strange tasting.

Bali is one of the most evocative and popular tourist islands of the entire Indonesian archipelago. A visit here sparks the senses. As soon as you arrive, the intoxicating fragrance of incense and clove oil hangs in the thick tropical air. Peanuts sizzle at roadside stalls, petal-strewn offerings smolder on busy sidewalks, and traditional gamelan music jangles against the buzz of mopeds. Despite the clamor and chaos of the main tourist areas, the island is rich in natural beauty, with attractions for every kind of traveler. Surfers come for the legendary swells, hikers can trek up jungly volcanic peaks and to misty waterfalls, and cyclists can bike through lush landscapes bristling with rice terraces and traditional villages.
1 Pura Tanah Lot
About 20 kilometers northwest of Kuta, Pura Tanah Lot (Pura means temple in Balinese) is one of Bali's most iconic temples thanks to its spectacular seaside setting on a rocky islet surrounded by crashing waves. For the Balinese people, it is one of the most sacred of all the island's sea temples. (The largest and holiest Hindu temple in Bali is Pura Besakih, but recently local hagglers have been harassing visitors.) Every evening, throngs of tourists from Kuta, Legian, and Sanur find their way through a labyrinth of lanes lined by souvenir sellers to watch the sun setting behind the temple.
2 Mount Batur
Every day in Bali's predawn darkness, hundreds of visitors begin the trek up the 1,700-meter summit of Mount Batur to watch the sun rise above the lush mosaic of mist-shrouded mountains and the caldera far below. This sacred active volcano lies in Kintamani District in Bali's central highlands, about an hour's drive from Ubud, and the hike to the summit to watch the sunrise has long graced the list of top things to do in Bali.
3 Uluwatu Temple
Presiding over plunging sea cliffs above one of Bali's best surf spots, Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu) is one of the island's most famous temples, thanks to its magnificent clifftop setting. In Balinese, Ulu means tip or land's end and Watu means rock, a fitting name for the location of the temple on the Bukit Peninsula along the island's southwestern tip. Like Pura Tanah Lot, sunset is the best time to visit, when the sky and sea glow in the late afternoon light.
7 Waterbom Bali
Waterbom Bali is an action-packed waterpark, in the heart of Kuta, with something for every member of the family. Kids can splash in the swimming pools; drift down the Lazy River; or zoom down one of the many twisting water slides and rides, with names like the Python, Green Viper, and Super Bowl. Moms and dads can relax with a reflexology session, manicure or pedicure, or fish spa therapy. Restaurants and cafes cater to a range of different diets, and the grounds are landscaped with large, shady trees and beautiful tropical gardens, making this a refreshing respite from the heat on a hot tropical day.

8 Pura Ulun Danu Bratan
On a small island along the western shore of Lake Bratan, in the cool highlands of central Bali, the 17th-century Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is one of Bali's most picturesque temple complexes. Set against the imposing backdrop of Gunung Bratan, the thatched temples reflect on the lake, and when the water levels rise, they seem to float on its surface. Lake Bratan is one of Bali's main sources of irrigation and drinking water, and the temple complex is dedicated to Dewi Danu, goddess of the sea and lakes.

The plate of food you’ll be served is nothing short of spectacular, full of Balinese flavor.
Price - 25,000 IDR ($1.83) per plate

Ubud royal palace, Bali, Indonesia
Ubud royal palace, Bali, Indonesia 2013
The Ubud Palace, officially Puri Saren Agung, is a historical building complex situated in Ubud, Gianyar Regency of Bali, Indonesia.
The palace is the official residence of the royal family of Ubud. It was on his travels that he received a divine revelation that in Bali he was to bury five precious metals on a mountain slope where the mother temple of Besakih now stands today. Along with a group of followers, Rsi Markaneya was magnetically attracted to a destination located in the central foothills of the island that radiated light and energy. This place was Campuhan in Ubud at a junction in the Wos River and it was here that he felt compelled to build a temple by the name of Pura Gunung Lebah.
The Balinese village of Ubud can trace its roots to as far back as the 8th century. It is documented on ancient palm leaf scripts that a revered holy man from India by the name of Rsi Markaneya embarked on a spiritual journey across Java and eventually came to the island of Bali to spread the teachings of Hinduism.

Bali LUXURY BEACH RESORT - Full Tour and Review of Sofitel Hotel in Bali, Indonesia!

NOTE: I did some hosting work for Accor Hotels at Sofitel, and they invited my wife and I to stay for a few extra nights. So I didn't pay for my stay, but I wasn't required in any way to make this video. I made it because I wanted to.
September 2017
Sofitel is one of the well known beach resorts in Nusa Dua, Bali. They hooked us up with a very nice room with direct access to the swimming pool - which is probably one of the coolest features of the hotel. The service was great, and I think the breakfast buffet was excellent. It's a laid back place to stay in Bali, so laid back and relaxing, that my wife and I barely even wanted to go anywhere when we were staying there. Sofitel in Bali is the type of resort where you can just stay the entire day, relaxing, and swimming and not go anywhere.
As for the beach, it's not the most amazing beach. The views are fantastic, but for actually beach swimming, it's not the best you'll see. Also another drawback I found is that Nusa Dua is kind of a secluded resort area in Bali. So in order to get our of the resort area you need to take a taxi, you can't just walk out and find street food.
Again, I didn't pay, but I searched and found that this room sometimes goes for around $400, however it could fluctuate quite a bit by season - and I was there in high season.
Thank you to Sofitel Nusa Dua Bali for hosting my family in Bali. We had an amazing stay.
Thank you for watching!

Nasi Padang in Bali, Indonesia (TRAVEL VLOG)
Our Bali adventures continue as we explore the southwestern part of the island. We try Nasi Padang, an Indonesian feast of colorful dishes. Friendly warning: you touch, you pay! We also catch the sunset at Blue Point Beach next to Uluwatu Surf Break. Lots of tourists in the area, making it an opportune area to make new friends and join travels with. There are quieter areas where you can enjoy solo time by people-watching :) Watch the travel vlog to see the evening unfold!
