Indonesian Food Vlog Nusa Dua
Indonesian food is vibrant, colourful and full of intense flavours. Street food plays a big part, and rendang, nasi goreng and satay are among the most popular dishes.
Here is a list of best Indonesian food that you must eat when you are here, though by no means complete, we will try our best to keep it open and up for debate.
May the best food reign supreme!
Nasi Goreng – Literally means fried rice, it is actually the usual famous Southeast Asian style of stir-frying cooked rice, but with it’s very own Indonesian spices and mix.
Rendang – Literally means dry curry, rendang is a really popular dish in Indonesia that is actually a dry beef stew. It is originated from Minangkabau (or also known as Padang) in West Sumatra. That is why it is either called Rendang Padang or Rendang Minangkabau. Rendang is basically meat, normally beef but sometimes liver, chicken, goat or other meats, would be cooked in coconut milk and spices until dry resulting in an intense concoction of taste and texture. It is one of the best food in the world, try it to believe it!
Soto Betawi – There are a few Soto here in Indonesia that you must try, first is the Soto Betawi, which the soup is made of beef or beef offal with cow milk, it is a unique variation in itself with a distinct taste.
Ketoprak – Ketoprak is one of Indonesian traditional food. It is a mix of bean-sprout, deep-fried tofu, onion, eggs with special peanut sauce.
Soto Mie / Soto Mee – Sotomie (or Mee Soto) which is one of the most popular soto for its own right, it is either made of chicken or beef for soup and served with noodles and sliced risoles spring rolls. Of of the best Sotomie in Jakarta can be found at a stall inside Mangga Dua.

Pasar Senggol, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia
The night market in Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia, known as Pasar Senggol is an amazing place to eat a range of different Indonesian Balinese street food!
One evening, we headed over to the market at about 5 pm to start eating, and in this video I’ll show you everything I ate on this Balinese street food tour.
Babi guling - Babi guling, or Balinese style roast pig, is one of the ultimate things you have to eat, especially if you enjoy pork, when you’re in Bali. I started the street food tour off with a plate of babi guling. I was alright, but could have been better had it been hot and fresher.
30,000 IDR ($2.20) per plate
Sweets - Along with full meals, you’ll find an abundance of Indonesian street food snacks and desserts. Klepon was my favorite.
1,000 IDR ($0.7) per box
Nasi ayam campur - This stall served one of the best single plates of food I had in Bali, ayam betutu and some mixed chicken all over a plate of rice with all the toppings and mixes. The food was sensational, packed with flavor.
25,000 IDR ($1.84)
Tipat cantok - Similar to another common Indonesian street food called gado gado, tipat cantok includes rice cakes and bean sprouts in a peanut sauce. It was pretty good, and I enjoyed how you could watch her making it in front of you.
7,000 IDR ($0.51)
Serombotan - Finally, to end this Indonesian street food tour in Bali, I had a serving of something called serombotan, a delicious mixture of vegetables and coconut and shrimp paste. It was surprisingly very good and flavorful.
5,000 IDR ($0.37)

WHAT TO EAT IN BALI - Best Indonesian Food and Warungs
Wondering what to eat in Bali during your holiday? Here are the absolute best Indonesian food and Warungs in Sanur, Bali. We tried the famous Babi Guling dish and got into some delicious Indonesian street food at the Bali night market. Let us know which of these 5 Indonesian foods are your favorite down in the comments below!
First up was trying traditional Bali coffee and a popular health tonic at a local warung in Sanur. Bali coffee is unlike anything I’ve ever had before as they make the coffee with the grounds still in the mug! I liked how strong and flavorful the “kopi tubruk” was and also really enjoyed “Kunyit Asam” which is a turmeric and lime drink that is lightly sweetened.
Next we get into the good stuff. If you ask anyone what the best food in Bali is they will likely say Babi Guling. Babi Guling is a whole roast suckling pig similar to the filipino dish Lechon. We visited one of the best warungs in Bali called Warung Babi Guling Sanur to try the infamous dish. The plate filled with pork, rice, sambal matah, crispy skin, sate and peanuts was amazing and so spicy! I would highly recommend anyone try Babi Guling if you are coming to Bali, especially because pork is not widely eaten anywhere else in the Indonesian food scene because it is a predominately muslim country.
I tried a fish head soup at another one of the best warungs in Bali and it is also one of the oldest still in operation. Warung Mak Beng in Sanur Bali is a popular soup spot right near Sanur Beach serving up fish head soup, rice, and fried mackerel all for only $45K Indonesian Rupiah.
As the sun started to set, we headed to the Bali night market in Sanur to try two final dishes: Jaje Bali and Nasi Campur. Nasi Campur is one of the most famous items in the Balinese street food world and regarded by most as the best Indonesian food. It consists of mixed rice with protein and vegetables which was excellent and easily ranked in my Top 5 food in Indonesia list. Jaje Bali was an unexpected sweet surprise and should definitely make your Bali food guide list. It’s a lesser known Bali dessert that consists of different starches rolled in coconut and drizzled with honey. The dessert isn’t too sweet and had just the right amount of flavor! It was great.
If you’re looking for the best Indonesian food and Warungs in Sanur Bali then this should be a great starting list for you. The food in Indonesia is quite spicy so make sure you ask for “little spicy” if you are sensitive to spice and avoid getting what they call Bali Belly. The food in Bali is diverse, delicious, and affordable if you eat at local restaurants and warungs. We hope you liked this taste of Indonesia street food and classic Bali food dishes. Let us know which one of these is your favorite and make sure you check out our food vlog playlist to see more mouth watering classics in different countries!

Indonesia Bike Touring 2019 - Jakarta to Bali (part 3) WE MADE IT!
Nelson Mandela once said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” These past few weeks were filled with the most unforgettable, remarkable yet arduous experiences that will be impossible to forget. The biggest takeaway we had from this experience followed the saying, How do you eat an elephant-one bite at a time. Once we got started each day, we seriously got lost in it all. I hope whoever watches this video enjoys it because we sure enjoyed making it! Until next time !!!
(Ps, if you visit Indonesia, remember that Bali is not the only city and quite frankly there are better cities if you ask me)

Life Inside Bali's Infamous Kerobokan Prison | Foreign Correspondent
To many, Bali’s Kerobokan jail is a place of creepy fascination, a repository of misery in an island playground. But what’s it really like in there?
For the first time a TV crew has obtained virtually unrestricted access to all corners of Kerobokan’s men’s prison. The Foreign Correspondent team spend a week roaming the jail, filming and interviewing prisoners and guards to capture life inside.
Yeah, this is my little piece of paradise – Bali Nine member Matthew Norman.

BALI: THE ULTIMATE PARADISE! FIRST TRAVEL ABROAD! #Markgoesto #Bali
First day of my very first travel abroad!
Life is all about the experience, and we all have firsts. This was mine. The very first time I went out of the Philippines. The first solo travel outside the country. So here is the vlog that I consider my official vlog since I made efforts on making my channel intros from scratch (yes! I researched on how to make my drawings come alive and moving, even made 170 frames of my silhouette walking, took me 5 days) Effort was real because I really wanted to make a good content this time.
DAY 01 - ITINERARY! ITINERARY! ITINERARY!
This is my own itinerary, based on what I want to go, where to stay longer and also specific time to get good photos, I'm a photographer who loves traveling, not a model but also wants to be taken photos too HAHA. You may have this as a guide, everything will depend on what your interests are.

Penyuka seafood tak boleh lewatkan menu spesial yang diubah setiap harinya, namanya Catch of The Day. Saat kami berkunjung, Jumbo Prawn jadi pilihan Catch of The Day.
