We made Tempe Manis, Pepes Chicken (usually it is with Ikan, or tuna), Lamar Bali Salad, Gado Gado, Chicken Curry, Chicken Sate, and Kolak Pisang. It was so cool using traditional cooking methods to make these dishes. I loved it when we cooked the sate with coconut shell - the smell was awesome! Every dish was also cooked with homemade coconut oil. Too good!

My amazing first trip to Bali Indonesia for the best Balinese food
My first trip to Bali Indonesia, another food and travel adventure. Bali is quite unique with great beaches, great weather and plenty of natural sites to visit. There's endless amounts of accommodation, from a few dollars a day to 5 star luxury villas or hotels. Watch the Chef cook a Grilled Fish Jimbaran style. I stayed in Kuta then traveled through Legian, Seminyak and finished up in Canggu. The people are friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely go again. See my next travel vlog for an incredible villa with private pool.

What they have to say with our Cooking Schools In Bali :
“Sustainable Eco Tourism in the Real Bali”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2015 NEW
Ketut and Wayan have created a wonderful concept that is not beholden to corporate control!
This was without a doubt one of the best tourist experiences Bali has to offer. We were picked up where we were staying by Ketut and taken to a small local farmers market. The local market visit demonstrated the heart and mind of true Balinese, who do not hawk their goods to tourists as in lesser, larger markets. During the market visit, Ketut explained some of the differences between the local herbs and spices compared with those you might find at home and he offered us samples of some exotic fruits to try.
Then on to the farm! The farm tour was both interactive and interesting to see. Guest get to pick the produce they will cook with later. The produce is being grown proudly in a sustainable fashion without resort to pesticides which will poison our eco system and our bodies!
The cooking class itself was hands-on, entertaining and educational and it was great to interact with the staff and fellow travelers who enhanced the day. Wayan was our cooking instructor and was knowledgeable, friendly and witty. We cooked several dishes and can't wait to go home and recreate them!
It was truly a wonderful experience to spend the day with this family. This is a hands-on experience in Bali that should not be missed!

Viceroy is the No. 1 Luxury Resort in the World – Dinner at Apéritif Restaurant & Bar in Ubud, Bali.
[AD – Viceroy Bali] Last summer, we needed some real relaxing time after months of hard work and traveling. That's why we partnered with Viceroy, the no. 1 luxury resort in the world, tucked away in quiet Ubud, Bali in Indonesia. After long days spent floating around the stunning infinity pool and enjoying all the perks of our deluxe terrace villa (which also had a private pool), we finally got to indulge in the incredible food of Belgian chef Nic Vanderbeeken. At Apéritif next door, he's creating culinary works of art with a French-Balinese tasting menu. Complete with a classic British colonial-era interior style, including Chesterfield sofas, feather decorations, and a pool table, the restaurant and bar aim to bring you back to the roaring 1920s.

Pasar Senggol, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia
The night market in Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia, known as Pasar Senggol is an amazing place to eat a range of different Indonesian Balinese street food!
One evening, we headed over to the market at about 5 pm to start eating, and in this video I’ll show you everything I ate on this Balinese street food tour.
Babi guling - Babi guling, or Balinese style roast pig, is one of the ultimate things you have to eat, especially if you enjoy pork, when you’re in Bali. I started the street food tour off with a plate of babi guling. I was alright, but could have been better had it been hot and fresher.
30,000 IDR ($2.20) per plate
Sweets - Along with full meals, you’ll find an abundance of Indonesian street food snacks and desserts. Klepon was my favorite.
1,000 IDR ($0.7) per box
Nasi ayam campur - This stall served one of the best single plates of food I had in Bali, ayam betutu and some mixed chicken all over a plate of rice with all the toppings and mixes. The food was sensational, packed with flavor.
25,000 IDR ($1.84)
Tipat cantok - Similar to another common Indonesian street food called gado gado, tipat cantok includes rice cakes and bean sprouts in a peanut sauce. It was pretty good, and I enjoyed how you could watch her making it in front of you.
7,000 IDR ($0.51)
Serombotan - Finally, to end this Indonesian street food tour in Bali, I had a serving of something called serombotan, a delicious mixture of vegetables and coconut and shrimp paste. It was surprisingly very good and flavorful.
5,000 IDR ($0.37)

My awesome food experience in Bali
This is Part three of my Bali travel vlogs (part II Villa Zelie). In case you missed it, we arrived at this amazing luxury private villa called Villa Zelie. I couldn’t believe my eyes how amazing this place was, heaven is the only way to describe it. It’s a five bedroom Balinese style villa but we had it all to ourselves, and yes there were just two of us. It has Balinese style open outdoor bathrooms and a tasteful native theme throughout. The villa came with a private Chef named “Made” who cooked us amazing traditional meals. This vlog included a char grilled deboned BBQ chicken that was amazing. We then went to a small hotel called Adila House, South of the island. We also visited the Rock Bar, a bar carved into the rock above the ocean.
