Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Del Mar - Bill Gates' San Diego House
Is that guy at 2:28 (lower right corner on cement path) Judge Elihu Smails? (Also, Poodles at 3:02 bark ferociously at balloon) If you want to skip to the part where we are over Bill Gates two Del Mar homes, they are at 1:40 . Yes, I know Bill's main residence is in Washington state. But he doesn't need to get hotel rooms when he travels - he has homes all over the world to stay at.
Del Mar FYI is in San Diego county, a few miles north of downtown SD. FYI, the balloon host also told us that Bill has a private pathway constructed from his two homes to the golf course. When in San Diego his friends stayed in one of the two homes, he and his wife stayed in the other.
For those of you in San Diego this balloon ride is worth the cost. They have half off specials from time to time. If you don't like confined spaces, or have problems with height, needless to say, you might consider another kind of adventure. :)
Note: If you are wondering why I don't point out which if those five homes are actually his, just know that is intentional (sorry, I respect Bills' privacy.).
