Rio Grande Gorge Balloon Ride with Paradise Hot Air Ballooning
Ken Eske of Paradise Balloons, Taos New Mexico, pilots a hot air balloon over, then 600' down into, the Rio Grande Gorge on a gorgeous Summer morning a few miles north of Taos.
Takeoff, floating, the famous splash & dash, and landing, all to the music of local trio Moses' Grandma.

New Mexico Centennial Balloon
New Mexico celebrates 100 years of statehood in 2012. To get the party started, and in a fitting hot air way, this new balloon is now cruising the skies of the Land of Enchantment. With the state's dominance of hot air ballooning, a floating billboard for this landmark is perfectly suited.

Gently gliding on the soft desert winds into the Gorge in the basket of a colorful hot air balloon, with the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as a backdrop, this is the premier hot air balloon flight of the state of New Mexico. 2017 Taos Mountain Balloon Rally
The first day of the 2017 Taos Mountain Balloon Rally included a ride into the skies over Taos aboard the Toucan Pilot balloon, piloted by Ken Wolcott. On board were sponsor Stuart Jones, whom many longtime Taos residents may recall from the early days of KKIT-Am radio, and Tempo editor Rick Romancito. Although a few balloons lifted off from the official launch field on Albright Street, Toucan Pilot took off from a paring lot off Salazar Road. The flight conditions were optimal with little wind and partly cloudy skies. Landing was in the soccer field at Ranchos Elementary School off State Road 518. Video was shot and edited by Rick Romancito for The Taos News

Albuquerque, New Mexico - Breaking Bad, Old Town, Nuclear Energy and Sandia Peak
Product: Country Bound Microfiber Towel
Today we explore Albuquerque, New Mexico. Being a Breaking Bad fan I started my day by visiting some of the show's locations, including Twister's also known as Los Pollos Hermanos, Walter Whites house, the Car Wash, and Hank's home. Then I went to Old Town, had lunch at the oldest house Church Street Cafe. Then I visited the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, and finally took a ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway.

Rio Grande del Norte | Pew & This American Land
New Mexico's Rio Grande del Norte is a beautifully diverse landscape, home to migratory birds, elk and deer.
Efforts are underway to safeguard 235,000 acres of this region, including the iconic Ute Mountain and part of the Rio Grande gorge. Legislation would also preserve traditional hunting, grazing, fishing and wood-gathering for local farmers and ranchers.
This episode of This American Land was produced in partnership with The Pew Charitable Trusts.
