Backpacking in MYANMAR : Balloon over Bagan Temples : Inle Lake : S2 Ep.9
I can't believe this is the last episode in series 2 but it's a big one so you are in for an adventure...

In this episode we take a boat from Mandalay to Bagan. I surprise Tom with a 30th birthday hot air Balloon ride over the temples of old Bagan. I face my fear on a E bike and watch sunset and sunrise from on top of a temple.
Then explore Mount Popa aka the monkey temple then head to Inle lake to see the famous fishermen. Disaster strikes on our overnight bus down to Yangon where we explore the Shwedagon pagoda and we finish our trip with one week in Singapore where we stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel with the famous infinity pool.

It wasn't too long ago that Myanmar (previously called Burma) opened its borders to tourists. This video will take you with us on our two week journey across the country, from the golden stupas of Yangon, to hot air ballooning over the Valley of Temples in Bagan (recently declared a UNESCO world heritage site), to the floating gardens and colorful villages on Inle Lake, to the caves of Pindaya that house over 8,000 Buddhas, to the ancient monasteries of Mandalay Bay.

Taunggyi Tzaaungdaing Festival (or) Taunggyi Hot Air Balloon Festival is one of the most famous and popular Festival annually held in Taunggyi, the capital city of Shan State on the full-moon day of Tazaungmone (Eight month of the Burmese calendar).Traditionally, it is a festival to pay homage to the Sulamani Pagoda by sending up decorated hot air balloons, and lately it also became as a Hot Air Balloon Competition Festival and the festival is divided into two parts; daytime competition and nighttime competition.
