Ballymena is a large town in County Antrim, and the eighth largest in Northern Ireland. Ballymena is part of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council. Ballymena is built on land given to the Adair family by King Charles I in 1626, on the basis that the town hold two annual fairs and a free Saturday market in perpetuity. As of 2016, the Saturday market still runs.
Ballymena is the hometown of notable actor Liam Neeson, who was awarded Freedom of the Borough in 2013. It is a popular shopping hub within Northern Ireland and is home to Ballymena United F.C. Ballymena incorporates an area of 632 square kilometres (244 square miles) and is home to large villages such as Galgorm, Ahoghill and Broughshane.
The town of Ballymena used to host Ireland's largest one-day agricultural show at the Ballymena Showgrounds. The town centre has many historic buildings. The Town Hall was built in 1924 on the site of the old Market House, and was refurbished in 2007 at a cost of roughly £20 million.
Ballymena is a market town, but industry developed in the town. The 1980s were a time of job losses in Ballymena as industry suffered. Michelin has a large presence in the Borough (in Broughshane), and JTI Gallaher has a large presence in Galgorm.

Got up this Saturday morning had a shower got dressed Coleraine FC football stuff and then we can downstairs and I had a drink of juice with a healthy bowl went back upstairs got wolf drop my bags I put the stuffing and taking to the Ballymena football ground and then 1 p.m. we left and went up to Ballymena to the fairhill Centre for due to do some shopping and then we went out for dinner and I had a poo and other stuff as well and then we left mum in the shopping centre because we went to Ballymena Showgrounds to watch Co Antrim Coleraine F.C and then we came home in the car and I went upstairs and get changed into my clothes for the Riverside because I had work tonight at the riverside Theatre and I had my I had my dinner sandwiches crisps yoghurt drink healthy bra went upstairs got washed pushed teeth washed my hands and wash my face want to work at the riverside Theatre Coleraine I did my work at the theatre and then my Dad picked me up can home that went upstairs get changed into my pyjamas came back downstairs watched the rugby Ireland vs Scotland and England vs France and then after that I streamed Holywell on Twitch and then I wonder if I drink the juice with it never came back in here switch them thing off went upstairs brush my teeth wash my face wash my face went on upstairs so I'm going to bed I got into bed fell asleep. 7cbd.
