What makes Balonne so Beautiful?
It's the friendly characters, spacious landscapes, relaxed lifestyle, touches of city comforts and vibrant economy. It's the place where opportunity and lifestyle meet.
Visitors, investors and people who move here love the 'feel' of the place, and quickly become 'part of the furniture,' intertwined with our community. Whether you're looking to stay a day, a year, or a lifetime, you'll be glad you found our special place.
Where is Beautiful Balonne?
Geographically, the Balonne Shire is located west of the Great Dividing Range and east of the outback. From here, it won't take you long to get to the bigger centre of Toowoomba, the Surat Basin, or the outback. The Shire hub, St George, straddles the intersections of six highways, providing perfect road access for visitors and the transportation of goods and services.
Beautiful Balonne is home to the towns of St George, Dirranbandi, Bollon, Thallon, Mungindi (Qld), Hebel and Nindigully.
Bollon, South-West Queensland
If you’re looking for a relaxing place to camp just out of town, then Bollon should be on your list.
Peaceful bush camping on the edge of Wallam Creek and a short walk, bike ride or even kayak into town. And the locals are great!

Flying Over Northern Australia (Broome Region) [Monday, 23rd of May, 2011]
Flight from Melbourne to Singapore heading towards northern Australian coastline, I am assuming close to the region of Broome (Western Australia)
The landscapes and river systems looked awesome from the air.
