OMG!!! Royal Jodhpur | Umaid Bhavan Palace | Mandore Garden | Balsamand Lake | Kaylana Lake
Hey Guys, Welcome back to my channel. I know I am taking sometime but I am now back with the third episode of our Rajasthan travel series in which we witnessed the royal legacy of Rajasthan as we went to Umaid Bhavan Palace where #PriyankaChopra got married last year. This is a must visit palace of Rajasthan.
We then headed towards Balsamand Lake Palace. It is one the most costly Palace/Hotel to live in Jodhpur.
After that we went to Mandore Garden which as popularly known as Ravana's Sasural :). This place is believed to be the place where Ravan got married to Mandodari. After Mandore Garden we we ended our day with a Boat ride at beautiful Kaylana Lake of Jodhpur.
Enjoy this video and thanks for all the support that you are showing to my new channel. I hope you and me enjoy more journeys like this through my lens in future.
Keep Love Alive!!!

Balsamand Palace - Jodhpur, Rajasthan
Balsamand Lake is a lake situated 5 km from Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Mandore Road. This lake is a popular picnic spot, built in 1159 AD by Balak Rao Parihar. It was designed as a water reservoir to provide water to Mandore. The lake has a length of one km, breadth of 50 m and a depth of 15 m.
The Balsamand Lake Palace was built later as a summer palace on its shore. The lake is surrounded by lush green gardens that house groves of trees like mango, papaya, pomegranate, guava and plum. Animals and birds like the jackal and peacock also call this place home.
The palace was created by Maharajah Sur Singhji, as a summer pavilion. It is very finely carved with latticed windows that allow the soft, cool breeze to blow into the interiors of the palace. The embankments of the lake, in front of the palace, have domed structure that offers fabulous views of the lake encircled by hills. An artificial cascading waterfall, brings water down from the reservoir to the gardens. Mandor, is a part of Jodhpur but it enjoys the calmness by being far from the city crowd.
The rooms and suites, the entire ambience here makes one feel as if you are staying in a royal palace. One can even enjoy a walk through the trees, the rose beds, pools covered with lilies and the groves of mango, plum, banana, pomegranate and so on. One will also get to see the peacocks, blue bulls, jackals and hundreds of flying foxes (fruit bats) in the trees.

Illegal mining destroying Jodhpur's Balsamand Lake
Balsamand Lake, Jodhpur's major source of drinking water, is being completely destroyed by illegal mining activity. Despite a court order banning mining here and the government's repeated interventions, the mining mafia continues to operate with impunity. What makes it worse is that this all is happening in Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's own constituency. Here's a report.
