Walking along Stratford Road, Sparkhill District, West Midlands, Birmingham, (UK's Little Pakistan).
A walk along Stratford Road; which is like a little India or little Pakistan due the presence of so many Indian & Pakistani shops.
The Sparkhill district has a large Pakistan and Indian population and has been made famous by the BBC's British sitcom Citizen Khan.
Very close by is Ladypool Road, which has around about 50 Indian & Pakistani restaurants and is a part of the famous Balti Triangle the area comes alive in the evening after 6:00pm.

Glynn Purnell on London restaurant offers, The Asquith rebrand and foraging in Birmingham
In an exclusive video interview, Glynn Purnell, Michelin-starred chef and Great British Menu regular, has revealed he was forced to rebrand The Asquith last year after being let down by the staff in charge who had failed to deliver his vision for the venue.
Punell converted the Newhall Street eatery to Purnell's Bistro in September 2012 and replaced the head chef and restaurant manager. At the time he declared his aim to differentiate his two Birmingham businesses from each other.
BigHospitality recently sat down with the chef at his fine-dining restaurant Purnell's to discuss his plans for the future, his take on trends in restaurants and food and to discover the recipe for success which he hopes will deliver a second star.
Wrong direction
Looking back on The Asquith rebrand, the 37-year-old was candid about why he chose to close down the restaurant and re-open it with a new team at the helm.
I felt the restaurant was going in the wrong direction in terms of the style of the food, said Purnell. That was down to staff that could talk the talk but couldn't walk the walk, young people that have worked for me in the past.
Basically the management went to their heads, they couldn't run the place properly, they didn't want to listen, they wanted to go off and do their own thing - it just came to the point where I thought enough is enough, it is losing money because you are not producing the product that I am asking you to produce.
Now it is thriving. It is exactly what people want, what they didn't want was a mini Purnell's, he claimed.
Clearly a difficult period in his career, Purnell said he had been personally disappointed by the turn of events.
It was frustrating for me because I had belief in some of these people but young people just don't want to listen, he said.
Birmingham foraging
In the interview, Purnell explained why he believed the problems at The Asquith were representative of some of the bigger issues in the industry including younger people who are, he said, less keen to make the journey up through the chef ranks with hard work.
It is eight years to the month since Purnell won the city its first Michelin star; four years ago he won a star for his eponymous restaurant. Though he said it did not frustrate him, Purnell explained why constantly being asked about whether he would venture from the Midlands to London was 'boring'.
Purnell also revealed his future plans, including some exciting irons in the fire, and gave his thoughts on how he could make the move towards being a two Michelin-starred chef.
The trick, he said, was not to make changes or react to so-called trends but just 'be a better you'.
One minute we are all cooking with liquid nitrogen, the next minute everyone is out foraging for, you know, stuff, he said.
It is no good me putting foraged stuff on there (the menu), I am slap bang in the middle of the most industrial city in the country. I am not from the windswept Scandinavian landscape so I wouldn't have a fucking clue anyway.
Like I have said before, if I go foraging in Birmingham I would find dog shit and crisp wrappers!

Asian curry chefs feel betrayed over Brexit
(22 Mar 2017) Chef Mohammed-Faizul Haque makes it all look so easy.
He adds a ladle of base sauce and then lemon to a pan of sizzling chicken, sending flames shooting skyward.
Then he reaches into a line of vessels at the back of the stove for pinches of cumin, coriander, salt, chili and garlic, the feel of the ingredients between his fingers as his only measure.
After the demonstration, he sends a plate of Balti kuchi chilli chicken upstairs to the dining room at the Taste of India in London.
Haque's deft touch isn't easy to replicate, and that's a big problem for Britain's curry houses, which are shutting down at a rate of two a week, in part because there aren't enough chefs.
Restaurant owners, who backed the campaign to leave the European Union after assurances it would lead to more visas for South Asian cooks, feel betrayed, angry that they helped deliver the vote to only to have the government fail to deliver on promises to help save their industry.
Rather than easing the shortage, Brexit is likely to make the situation worse by cutting off the flow of eastern European workers who have increasingly filled the gaps in recent years.
Brexit is just the latest episode in the curry crisis that is hitting a country where chicken tikka masala is as much the national dish as fish and chips.
In addition to a chef shortage, Britain's 12,000 Indian restaurants are struggling with competition from pre-prepared supermarket meals, delivery companies that demand high fees, and rising food prices.
Though casually referred to as Indian food, most curry houses are run by Bangladeshi immigrants and their offspring who fused South Asian flavours with British tastes to create a new cuisine worth an estimated 4.5 billion pounds (5.6 billion US dollars) to the economy annually.
The unease of the curry houses is replicated in ways large and small across Britain, as Prime Minister Theresa May prepares to begin the legal process of leaving the EU later this month.
May has taken a tough stance on the issue after anger about uncontrolled immigration fuelled last year's vote to leave the EU.
While exiting the bloc will allow Britain to limit European immigration for the first time in 40 years, the government has so far refused to relax the rules for migrants from non-EU countries.
The government also refuses to discuss any changes, arguing it would hurt its negotiating position.
The current rules require migrants from outside the EU to have a job paying at least 35,000 pounds (44,000 US dollars) a year, more than many nurses make in Britain.
Curry houses, which make a profit by selling food at reasonable prices, can't meet that standard.
Restaurant owners have in recent years filled the gap by hiring Eastern Europeans, particularly Poles and Romanians.
Between 5,000 and 6,000 curry house workers are East Europeans out of a total 150,000 across the country.
Aga Pozniak, 38, is a qualified teacher from Lodz in central Poland. Though she now serves customers in front of house at the Taste of India, she started out as a kitchen assistant.
Like many Eastern European workers, she doesn't know how long she'll be able to stay in the UK in a post Article 50 era.
The restaurants, some of which have been in the family for decades, can no longer look to the next generation to fill the gaps.
As mothers and fathers have prospered and become part of British society, many of their children have moved into professions such as law and medicine rather than cooking.
And with no new influx of onion choppers in the pipeline, even those who want to stay in the business are having a tough time.
But the 19-year-old is finding himself increasingly pulling shifts at the family restaurant , time that takes him away from his studies.

Half 'n' Half at the Wales Millennium Centre
Cardiff’s first ever ‘curry musical’, Half ‘n’ Half, premieres at Wales Millennium Centre this month (12-18 October), celebrating the Great British Curry and the people who make it.
Written by Cardiff-based writer and composer Tim Riley, Half ‘n’ Half is set in the Taj Mahal, a fictional restaurant on Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff, in 1987.
Ali, the boss, is ready to retire to his native Bangladesh, but he faces a dilemma – who should take over the business? His nephew Khan, from Sylhet, or Rafiq, the streetwise head waiter? But trouble appears with the arrival of Mr Bajar, the self-proclaimed Balti King from Birmingham, with a taste for a takeover.
Hotter than a Vindaloo and cooler than a Korma, this funny, fast-paced and colourful show explores the layers of cultural identity - Asian, Bangladeshi, British, Welsh - which are specific to Cardiff but resonate with communities across the UK.
Director Vik Sivalingam, explains: “In Cardiff they’ve created this new hybrid culture in the way the food is presented, having your curry with chips and rice – they’ve brought two cultures into specific harmony.”
Half ‘n’ Half is full of original songs that draw on Western, Bollywood, and South Asian folk music influences and boasts a fantastic cast of actors including Cardiff’s very own Boyd Clack.
To research the show, Tim helped out in the kitchens of The Cinnamon Tree, where he got to know the staff and their stories (and ate a lot of curry!). A research and development phase followed, at the end of which a rough version of the show was performed upstairs at The Cinnamon Tree – the first time a musical has been staged in a curry house.
Additionally, workshops with young people from communities in Butetown and Grangetown were held at the start of this year. They shared their experiences of cultural fusion, food and family, and developed their storytelling and singing skills.
This led to a day of performances on Wales Millennium Centre’s Glanfa stage by the young people who performed alongside professional actors and musicians. The young people’s stories inspired Tim to write a song called 'Home' that is now part of the musical.
Half ‘n’ Half is produced by Tinderbox Alley in association with Wales Millennium Centre and is supported by the Arts Council of Wales.
Half ‘n’ Half is at the Weston Studio, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff, 12-18 October 2015. Tickets range from £10-14. Age guidance 8+.
To celebrate National Curry Week (12-18 October), ffresh Bar & Restaurant is offering a pre-show curry with half ‘n’ half (chips and rice) and naan bread for £4.
