Bambarakanda Falls බබරකන්ද දියඇල්ල - Infinity Sri Lanka
Bambarakanda Falls (also known as Bambarakele Falls) is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. With a height of 263 m (863 ft), it ranks as the 299th highest waterfall in the world. Situated in Kalupahana in the Badulla District, this waterfall is 5 km away from the A4 Highway. The waterfall was formed by Kuda Oya, which is a branch of the Walawe River. The Bambarakanda Falls can be found in a forest of pine trees.

'Bambarakanda Falls' (also known as 'Bambarakele Falls') is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. With a height of 263 meters it ranks as the 299th highest waterfall in the world. Situated in 'Kalupahana' in the 'Badulla' District, this waterfall is 5 kilo meters away from the A4 Highway.
To each the waterfall, you need to travel along the 'Balangoda' – 'Badulla' Route (A4) to 'Kalupahan'a town. This small town lies between 'Belihul Oya' and 'Beragala'. The turn off to wards the falls is identified by a small sign board.

බඹරකන්ද ඇල්ල (බඹරකැලේ ඇල්ල) ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උසම දියඇල්ල වේ. මෙහි උස මීටර 263 කි. මෙය ලෝකයේ දියඇලි අතරින් 299 වන උසම දිය ඇල්ල යි. මෙය වළවේ ගඟේ අතු ගංගාවක් වන කුඩා ඔයෙන් නිර්මාණය වේ. බඹරකන්ද ඇල්ල ෆයිතස් ගස්වලින් පිරුණු වනයක හමුවේ.
මෙය බදුල්ලේ කළුපහන ප්‍රදේශයේ පිහිටා ඇත. බලංගොඩ - බෙරගල මාර්ගයේ (A4) මාර්ගයේ කළුපහන කියන ස්ථානයෙන් වීරකෝන්ගම හරහා මාර්ගයේ බඹරකන්දට කිලෝ මීටර 5 ක් දුරයි. කළුපහන හන්දියේ සිට වීරකෝන්ගම පසු කරමින් ඉදිරියට ගමන් කල පසු බඹරකන්ද ඇල්ල ට ප්‍රවේශ වන මාර්ගය හමුවේ. මාර්ගය පටු වුනත් ඇල්ල ආසන්නයටම යන්නට පුළුවන්. ඇල්ල පාමුළටම යන්නට නම් පා ගමනින් තවත් කිලෝ මීටරයකට පමණ යන්නට අවශ්‍යව වේ.

Bambarakanda Falls is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka located in the eastern slopes of Central Hills at the foot hills of Horton Plains. Trail to the top of this falls is an exciting walk mostly entirely through Pines plots. At the top, there is another small but beautiful waterfall and a large pool. Scenery all around at the top of the falls is unbelievable including the uninterrupted view in to the end-less eastern plains of Sri Lanka.
Waterfall is Located bit off from the Colombo-Badulla main road. The turning point is in Kalupahana and pretty easy to miss. The waterfall premise is well maintained and requires some walking and climbing through a pines forest. Concrete steps are laid out for the ease of visitors.there is a podium on which visitors can admire the beauty of the falls safely. The base pool is not deep but there is a sign that says it is prohibited.

By Train: Get down from Haputale railway station and catch the bus to Beragala junction up to Diyaluma fall
Tips, Notes and Special remark
Take much water
Ask the directions from the villagers
Do not try this hike on rainy days
Going to the top of the Giant Diyaluma is a risky thing, so be careful.
There might be Wild Elephants on dry days
Do not harm to the fruit trees over there
Do not bath at the round pools at the top of Giant Diyaluma fall.
Beware about Flash Floods
Diyaluma (220m) is the second highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and its situated at Beragala-Wellawaya road. Turn right from the Beragala junction and proceed about 23km to the waterfall.
There are 03 routes to the Uda Diyaluma waterfall as follow.
*From the Koslanda- Punagala road
*Via the Diyaluma Estate (The road after the *Diyaluma fall-500m away from the Diyaluma fall)
Before the Diyaluma waterfall there is a jungle path .We started the hike from near the main road which called shortcut to uda diyaluma . Vans/ Bikes/ Three wheelers and 4WD vehicles can go up to the factory at that road. Then the path will continue via the factory and then via the village houses. After that the final 01km will start to climb. That climb is a direct climb to the mountain and you can find your own path where it won’t be a problem to tackle to direction to the top.
When you reach to the top of the mountain turn to left and proceed about 300m to the Uda Diyaluma fall. Uda Diyaluma is about 30m waterfall which having a triangle type flowing style. And then walk along the water stream to the top of Giant Diyaluma waterfall. There is a massive wind at the top of Diyaluma. So, be carefull about the wind direction and slippery rock plains.
We met a doggy and a puppy leading our way pathfinding. We met them and get along with them and they took us to Uda Diyaluma . That road is totally dangerous and most of places are faced to landslides. That road is difficult but a nice journey .

Diyaluma Waterfall is Sri Lankan No 1: most beautiful waterfall and which is situated at Koslanda. Koslanda is situated between Beragala and Wellawaya. Beragala is junction of Badulla Colombo main road. Another way to Diyaluma waterfall via Poonagala from Bandarawela. Poonagala place is very famous to tea estates and Tamil people. Diyaluma waterfall is Third highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is high about 171m. Visit Diyaluma is very easy because Diyaluma waterfall is at main road. Most tourists are like very much to visit this waterfall.

Diyaluma waterfalls Amazing Video | Sri Lanka
Diyaluma waterfalls which are situated at Koslanda to Wellawaya road is an icon of the environment beauty in the Badulla district. It is a 2nd highest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. The water stream the cascade 173 creates and unbelievable. Tourist who likes to explore the natural wonder can enter the bottom of the waterfall. The path of the bottom of the waterfall is not that low but uncertainty. The cheerful monument is waiting for your reach destination.
This beautiful waterfall which is very popular among foreign and local tourists, in fact, adds beauty and pride to the land of Uva. This fall is 560 ft high and it appears in full glory throughout the year. By traveling 24kms from Beragala junction on Beragala Wellawaya (A/4) highway, this fall can be seen by the roadside near 124 mileposts.

Diyaluma Falls is 220 m (720 ft) high and the second highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 361st highest waterfall in the world. It is situated 6 km (3.7 mi) away from Koslanda in Badulla District on Colombo–Badulla highway. The Falls are formed by Punagala Oya, a tributary of Kuda Oya which in turn, is a tributary of Kirindi Oya.
