SYND 17 2 78 BORDER FIGHTING AT KHLONG YAI VILLAGE
(15 Feb 1978) The Thai border village of Khlong Yai was attacked on February 12th. Some estimates say sixty percent of the original population of four thousand has fled the village, after three days of heavy shelling from a group of border raiders which has not been identified, though blame has been attributed to the Khmer Rouge.
