Banana Beach by Phuket Let's Go

Banana Beach is all about nature. It was a stunning place long before any person stood on its shore, and that natural beauty is still there today. So, when you embark on this fantastic daytime activity in Phuket, notice how boat noise is kept to a minimum around the beach and how most boats park out on the water, not on the sand. Watch the fish that swim around curiously in the crystal blue water, and see how the trees hug our buildings and Great Hornbill birds (the inspiration for our restaurant design) fly down from the hillside to have a look around. This is all part of keeping the beach’s identity.

We not only wanted to preserve the character of Banana Beach Phuket, but add to it as well, with respect for its beauty and environment. That is why our buildings make large use of natural tropical materials, such as bamboo, and also take shapes that connect you to Koh Hey’s wildlife. You get to play and rest in nature here without taking anything away from it except some lovely memories of your Phuket sightseeing adventure.

Our Day Trip to Banana Beach is one of the most chillout attractions of our portfolio. It lasts from morning until late afternoon, with quick and comfortable private speedboat rides to and from Koh Hey also known as Coral Island (only 15mn). Here’s is a rough schedule of our daily program :

8:30 - 9:30am: Pick-up and transport from hotel lobby to KanEang@pier at Chalong Bay.

10:00am: Depart from Chalong Pier by speedboat to snorkeling point (Coral Island)

10:20am: Arrive at Coral Island for snorkeling, swimming and relaxation from the boat. (Please note these programs are subject to change according to the weather and sea conditions.)

11:00am: Arrive at Banana Beach for snorkeling, swimming and relaxation on the white- sand beach.

1:00pm: Lunch overlooking the water from Hornbill Restaurant. Drinking water and seasonal fruits are provided as part of the set menu.

2:00pm: Spend your time relaxing with sea-sport activities or leisure on the beach. (Clear kayaks / snorkeling equipment / beach chairs are provided)

4:30pm: Depart from Banana Beach by speedboat back to Chalong Pier.

4:45pm: Arrive at Chalong Pier for transfer to your accommodation. “Farewell and see you again”.

This program is available every day ! woohoo !

Notice : These programs are subject to change depending on weather and sea conditions. Pregnant women are not recommended to join these trips.

Please Bring : Swimming suits / Beach towel / Sunblock & sunglasses

Remark : for Ao Por, Bangtao, Kamala, Laguna, Layan, Surin, Naithon, Naiyang, Maikhao and the airport area incurs an additional charge of 500THB per person, more thana 2 person/trip 300THB per person.

After a couple days of visiting busy Phuket beaches we decided to hire a private longtail boat to take us on a day trip to Banana Beach. Trip to Banana Beach on Coral Island Koh Hey | Phuket, Thailand 2019

Coral Island is the most popular of the group of small islands just south of Phuket. As its name suggests, it is well known for its shallow coral reefs and excellent snorkeling.

The island's Thai name is Koh Hay (sometimes written Koh He, Koh Hae, or other variations). This does not actually translate to Coral Island. It means crowded island and the name is not totally inaccurate. The island does receive plenty of day-trip visitors throughout the high season. However, it is not always crowded and there are quieter spots.

Coral Island is a 2.5km long, jungle covered, granite island. There are two nice beaches on the north side of the island facing Phuket and there is also a small but pleasant little beach on the south side of the island. There is nothing inland where the vegetation is too dense and the gradients are too steep to be suited for development or agriculture.

Banana beach
Banana Beach is a small bay, located in the north-west of the island between the beaches of Bang Tao and Nai Thon. This stunningly beautiful place with azure sea and picturesque wooden Longboat. Ideal for photos. The video is not imposed a single filter, the water in the reality of such a color. For this I love the Andaman Sea.

Banana Beach koh hey (coral) island Phuket

Banana Beach has white sands, a clear blue sea and is backed by bright green jungle. Part of Koh Hey Island, the beach is a popular destination for people visiting Phuket. Though it's less than 10 km from the mainland, it is largely untouched by construction and tourism. Koh Hey means Coral Island in Thai and this island is one of the most popular places to visit in the Phuket area.
Since the island is part of a national park and a marine preservation area, buildings have been limited to a few huts. Most visitors come for the day to enjoy a variety of water sports. Banana boats are popular here (which is how the beach got its name), as well as snorkelling, sea kayaking and parasailing. Scuba diving is also available and, because the area is protected, divers can see lots of colourful fish.

IKON Hotel stay in Phuket, Banana Beach 【Chloe Leong】

Hotel IKON – is the place that I stayed in Phuket. We spent 3 nights there, the service were incredibly efficient and catered to our every need, nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast buffet also with plenty of options.


If you are looking for cool design and instagrammable content this is the place to stay! I would highly recommend it for beautiful relaxing break. thank you for ensure a pleasant stay for us. I hope to return again soon .


After the day I arrived in Phuket, we hangout to Banana Beach. To me this is the most beautiful beach in Phuket, this is my first visit to banana beach (sometimes called 'Banana Rock Beach') A secret beach with not more people.

It is just takes 30mins from hotel IKON which makes it easy and fast to get there by speedboat. We spent half day there for some watersports such as Clear Kayak, Parachute, Thrilling Roller Zipline at Hanuman World, Phuket. There is a restaurant with thai foods and we have our lunch at there.


The sight of Banana’s white sands and sparkling emerald water – Oh MY！Nevertheless, it really is one of Phuket's most glittering gems as far as beaches go and has the aura of a 'hidden beach'.

Coral Island, Rawai, Phuket – Banana Beach Tour

Coral Island one of the most beautiful islands of Rawai, is it about 5km from Rawai Beach. But if you're going to famous Banana Beach your ways starts at Chalong Pier and it will take you about 15 minutes to arrive.
