【新潟】古町・本町から萬代橋へ歩く！ Niigata Bandai Bridge
萬代橋は、初代の橋が明治19年に架かり、現在の橋は3代目。それでも昭和4年の竣工と、もう90年経ちます。
明治41年の新潟大火で初代の橋は焼失しましたが、昭和39年の新潟地震(震度5、死者26人)では、付近に落橋した橋(昭和大橋)があったものの、なんとか落橋を免れました。
平成16年に国の重要文化財に指定されました。

0:09、新潟市道路元標。一般国道8路線が起終点となるこの地(本町交差点)は高知市の県庁前交差点とともに国内最多だそうです。東京・日本橋を起点とする国道17号線もここが終点です。

1:15、中央奥にイトーヨーカドー丸大新潟店が見えます。昭和53年の開業。
1:55、新潟西港は左へ、新潟駅は直進になります。
2:13、鏡橋交差点

4:43、礎町バス停
4:50、ホテルオークラ新潟。昭和53年にオークラホテル新潟として開業。
5:47、やっと信濃川に架かる萬代橋にたどり着きました。白山駅から歩いてきて疲れました。
6:19、画面中央には朱鷺メッセ(新潟コンベンションセンター)にある万代島ビルが見えます。高さ143mで本州日本海側で最も高い建物です、平成15年竣工。
6:59、画面中央の歩いていく方向に見える高い建物は、新潟日報メディアシップ、平成25年竣工の高さ105mで、県内第7位の高さです。

Passing under the Bandai bridge in Niigata city, Japan.
my two years in niigata prefecture
i made this video for a friends wedding, so thats why the first two locations (the schools) seem a bit...random.
but besides that, i made this video to show the many sides of niigata prefecture. locations include niigata city, nagaoka city, bandai bridge, chosei bridge, big swan stadium, nagaoka castle, the villages and towns of matsudai, yuzawa, shitada, mitsuke, koide, and teradomari, and many other points of interest.
ive been living here for two years and i have to say im not tired of living here yet. theres still so much to see and do, so dont be surprised if i post another video highlighting niigata prefecture!
