Bangalore Palace, a palace located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, in an area owned originally by Rev. J. Garrett, the first principal of the Central High School in Bangalore, now famous as Central College. The commencement of the construction of the palace is attributed to him.
The Bangalore Palace was the private residence of the royal Wadiyar family. The palace is now owned by the Mysore royal family. Tudor-style palace with galleries featuring hunting trophies, family photos and paintings. The guards are very strict about camera usage and you will need to show your camera ticket before being allowed to take photos around the grounds.t is one of the top tourist places to visit in Bangalore. Good for photography. Weekdays are the best.

a palace located in Bengaluru Karnataka India, was built by Rev Garrett, who was the first Principal of the Central High School in Bangalore, now known as Central College.
The construction of the palace was started in 1862 and completed in 1944. In 1884, it was bought by the then Maharaja of Mysore Chamarajendra Wadiyar. Now owned by the Mysore royal family. Bangalore Palace has recently undergone a renovation.

Bangalore Palace was the first spot of my first day of my solo trip. The moment you get down at the palace the first look will itself increase the excitement to see it from inside but first your cameras will start to capture every corner of the entry.
The entry to the palace comes for a nominal fee and a separate fee for your camera. Along with it you will be provided with an audio tape which briefs out every detail of the palace in your preferred language.

कर्नाटक के वन क्षेत्रों के अलावा आप बैंगलोर शहर के अंदर भी काफी ज्यादा हरियाली देख सकते हैं। भले ही यहां ऊंची-ऊंची गगनचुंबी इमारतों और बिल्डिंगों ने जगह ले ली है पर हरे-भरे पेड़ों की कतार आप यहां की हर शहरी गलियों में देख सकते हैं। साथ ही इस शहर ने अपनी ऐतिहासिक धरोहरों को भी काफी संभाल कर रखा हुआ है। विधान सौध ,बैंगलोर पैलेस, बैंगलोर किला, टिपू महल,अठारह कचेरी , देवनहल्ली किला, इत्यादि बैंगलोर शहर के चुनिंदा खास ऐतिहासिक स्थल माने जाते हैं। इसी क्रम में हमारे साथ जानिए शहर के सबसे खास बैंगलोर पैलेस की उन खास बातों के बारे में जिनके जानकर आप इसे एकबार इसे देखने की तमन्ना तो जरूर करेंगे।
आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि इस विशाल संरचना को बनाने में 82 साल का वक्त लगा। जिसकी आधारशिला 1862 में रखी गई थी, जिसका निर्माण कार्य कई हाथों से होकर गुजरा और 1944 में जाकर खत्म हुआ। इस वर्ष के दौरान इस विशाल संरचना को आम जनों के देखने के लिए खोल दिया गया था। बैंगलोर पैलेस की भव्यता के आकर्षित होकर मैसूर के महाराजा ने इस खरीद लिया था। मैसूर के महाराजा के बाद यह पैलेस मैसूर के ही शाही परिवारों के देखरेख में रहा। इस विशाल संरचना को सेंट्रल कॉलेज के पहले प्रधानाचार्य रेव.जे गैरेट ने बनवाया था। इस विशाल संरचना को बनाने के लिए 45,000 वर्ग फीट की जमीन का इस्तेमाल किया गया । वर्तमान में यह महल और इसके आसापास का क्षेत्र लगभग 454 एकड़ में फैला है।
कहा जाता है कि 1873 में एक अंग्रेज अफसर द्वारा इस महल को मात्र 40,000 रूपए देकर खरीदा गया था, जो मैसूर के 23वें महाराजा चामाराजेन्द्र वाडियार का शिक्षा और प्रशासनिक प्रशिक्षण प्रभारी था। खरीदने के बाद इस महल को और भी आकर्षक बनाने के लिए कई निर्माण कार्य भी किए गए थे। महल को आकर्षक बनाने का निर्माण कार्य 1874 में शुरू किया गया और 1878 में काम पूरा किया गया था। बाद में कई ओर छोटे-मोटे निर्माण कार्य चलते रहे।
महल का आंतरिक भाग खूबसूरत नक्काशियों से सजाया गया है, जिसमें ज्यादातर लकड़ी का प्रयोग किया गया है। महल की संरचना ट्यूडर और स्कॉटिश गोथिक का मिश्रण है। महल को संजाने के लिए बहुत से भौतिक साजो-सामान ब्रिटने से आयात किए गए थे। पैलेस के कमरों को भी काफी खूबसूरत तरीके से सजाया गया है, जिसमें आप हिंदू पारंपरिक शैली के अंश भी देख सकते हैं। महल के चारों ओर हरे-भरे बागों का निर्माण करवाया गया है। पूर्ण रूप से महल, भ्रमण मात्र से ही एक लग्जरी अनुभव देता है। इसके अलावा इस महल के अंदर आप 19 वीं और 20वीं शताब्दी की चित्रकला भी देख सकते हैं। वाडियार साम्राज्य से जुड़ी कई तस्वीरों को आप इस महल में देख सकते हैं

Bangalore Palace is a palace located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The property was purchased from Rev. Garrett in 1873 at a cost of Rs. 40,000 by the British Guardians of the minor Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar 10 using his personal funds. They were in charge of his education and administrative training to ready him to take over his reign in 1881 AD. As the young Maharaja did not have a suitable place to stay during his training in Bengaluru, this property was purchased and transformed.
Construction of a palace building was started in April 1874 and completed by 1878. Mr. Cameron of Lalbagh did the landscaping.
