10 Things to do in Khao Lak all year around with NGA Travel
- Khao Lak is located in Phang Nga province about 82 kilometers north of Phuket International Airport, and it takes about an hour and a half in a taxi. The Khao Lak area is located facing the Andaman Sea, it is here most divers and snorkelers stay before going to the Similan and Surin islands.Khao Lak has a lot of nature around it, it's very green with lots of forests, mountains and white sand beaches. 1. Peaceful Beaches - As there is about 23 km beaches along the Andaman Coast it is always possible to find a favourite spot to swim and to relax.
2. Exciting Nature Exploration - Apart from all the beaches there is so much nature to explore around Khao Lak, mountains, forests, and waterfalls.
3. Nice Resorts and Accommodation - Khao Lak has been growing steadily for the past many years. Every year new guest houses, hotels and resorts shoot up, and there is a place to stay for every budget.
4. Thai Cooking Classes - Go shopping and then learn to cook amazing Thai dishes and of course eat them.
5. Visit a Local Market - There are a couple of markets in Khao Lak, the most famous one Bang Niang Market, is open every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
6. Make New Friends - Thailand is called “The Land of Smiles” and there is a good reason for that, Thai people are always friendly and helpful.
7. Get close to the Thai Culture - with our ‘Thai Village Tour’ it is possible to get a really good understanding of the Thai people and their culture.
8. Learn Thai at Khao Lak Langue School - If you are a returning visitor it is a great idea to learn basic Thai, it will be easier to get around and also make it easier to do some shopping.
9. Train Muay Thai - We are close friends with the people at Combat-360 where you can train Muay Thai, and other martial art disciplines. They also have weight loss programs as well as Yoga classes.
10. If there are Waves, Go Surfing - As mentioned, if there are waves, there are great surf spots at Memories Beach where you can rent surfing equipment.

Es waren einmal zwei abenteuerlustige high carb Veganer ... xD Wir hatten unsere Route, die wir mit dem Fahrrad in Südthailand gefahren sind, vorher nicht mega durchgeplant - daher wussten wir nicht, dass das Gebiet in Thailand sehr untouristisch war :D So kamen wir in die Situation, dass wir eine Unterkunft für die Nacht brauchten und weit und breit war kein Hotel zu finden. Die wenigen bei TripAdvisor angezeigten Hotels waren entweder inexistent, abgerissen oder falsch auf der Karte eingezeichnet - auf jeden Fall nicht an dem Ort, wo sie sein sollten :D Viele Feldwege weiter nach vielen Kämpfen mit Stock gegen wilde Hunde fanden wir dieses Hotel und wir waren heilfroh, was für die Nacht gefunden zu haben! Dass es ein ganz besonderes Hotel war, wussten wir am Anfang noch nicht - und es wurde ein RIESENspaß draus :D:D:D
