BANK of ESTONIA Museum | Estonian Money and Its History | Tallinn
The Eesti Pank Museum showcases Estonian money and its history as well as the central bank, its activities and its past. As the histories of Eesti Pank and Estonia are closely connected, the museum also gives an idea of the development of the country.
The museum is located on the first floor of the oldest building in the famous red-brick Eesti Pank complex. The building has retained its original appearance – it is more than a hundred years old inside and out. We are located on Estonia puiestee close to the Estonia Theatre and Solaris Centre. You’ll find the entrance by the towers and blue flags of the museum.

В музее Банка Эстонии открыта уникальная экспозиция о финансах и деньгах, которые, как известно, интересуют всех. Музей находится в угловой башне здания красного кирпича, построенного в 1904 году для Эстонского дворянского кредитного общества (банка). Игры, интерактивные машины и видеофильмы в доступной форме рассказывают об увлекательной истории денег. Не нужно быть финансистом, чтобы оценить качество постоянной выставки. Marimetsa BOG TRAIL | Estonian Nature
Marimetsa bog hiking trail is located in Lääne County of Estonia. The first part of the trail is dirt road that runs along the high-voltage power line. The track then reaches the Marimetsa Brook and leads to the rest area along the banks of the brook. From there, a boardwalk will take you to Marimetsa Bog. There is a viewing tower at the end of the trail (7.6 meters high). In Marimetsa Bog, you will see a fen, a transition bog, a raised bog, and a number of different birds and plants.
The length of the trail is 9 kilometers of which 2 × 2 kilometers is a boardwalk. You should plan 4–5 hours for the hike. The trail is wet at places - make sure to bring your rubber boots. There is a dry toilet on the track, benches for resting, and an information board with a map and a scheme of the trail.

[RUS] Туристическая тропа по болоту Мариметса. Первый отрезок тропы - это грунтовая дорога, которая вначале проходит мимо высоковольтной линии, далее по сенокосным угодьям до ручья Мариметса, а затем вдоль берега ручья до места отдыха, оснащенного инфостендом. От места отдыха дощатый настил ведет через в болото Мариметса. В конце тропы на деревянной платформе находится смотровая башня высотой 7,6 метра. В болоте Мариметса вы увидите как низинное болото, так и болото переходного типа и верховое болото. Здесь также очень богатый пернатый и растительный мир.
Длина тропы туда-обратно составляет 9 км, из которых длина дощатого настила составляет 2 х 2 км, время в пути 4-5 часов. Тропа местами мокрая, не забудьте про резиновые сапоги. На тропе есть сухой туалет, скамейки для отдыха, инфостенд с картой и схемой тропы.

Marimetsa rabas näed nii madalsood, siirdesood kui ka kõrgsood, ka linnustik ja taimestik on rikkalik. Raja pikkus edasi-tagasi kokku on 9 km, sellest laudtee pikkus on 2 x 2 km, aega varu 4-5h. Rada on kohati märg - ära unusta kummikuid. Rajal on kuivkäimla, pingid puhkamiseks, infotahvel kaardi ja raja skeemiga.

Deutsche Bank Explains Ties To Danske Bank In Estonia
Reuters reports that Deutsche Bank processed payments for Danske Bank in Estonia. However, a spokesman for the German lender said on Monday that the company ended the relationship with the Danske Bank in 2015 after it found suspicious activity.
The spokesman said that “Our role was to process payments for Danske Bank.” He added, that “We terminated the relationship in 2015 after identifying suspicious activity.”

First Impressions of Tallinn - Estonia HD Travel Channel
After a quick check-in at the hotel in the center, we make our way to gain the first impressions of Tallinn. First, we climb the Cathedral Hill, in Estonian: Toompea. Here is the upper town of Tallinn. The Toompea is a landmark of Tallinn and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Historic Center of Tallinn.
The white facade of the Palace of Justice, which stretches majestically into the sky, immediately catches our eye.
This time, we go past the cathedral, because we plan a separate visit. Instead, we admire the façade of the orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral with its black onion towers.
Past the city wall and the former canon tower (Kiek In De Kök), which is now part of the Tallinn City Museum, we reach the Vabaduse valjak, the Freedom Square. The huge cross at the edge of the square is the War of Independence Victory Column. The square in its present form reopened in 2009, after the independence of the Soviet Union. On the other edge of the square stands the St. John's Church.
A few meters further, we find the St. Nicholas' Church (Niguliste kirik), another landmark of Tallinn. Westphalian merchants founded the church between 1230 and 1275. Today, it is a branch of the Art Museum and also serves as a concert hall.
We now turn to the modern part of Tallinn. In the search for a laundry, we pass the opera house and reach the quarter with the glass façades of the skyscrapers. IT companies, hotels and banks have settled here. A round unlabeled cylinder (Nordea Maja) turns out to be the headquarters of Oracle in Tallinn.
Upon arrival, machines in the launderette are occupied for the day and we have to come back the next day. So we go back to the old town.

Nachdem wir unser Hotel im Stadtzentrum bezogen haben, machen wir uns sofort auf den Weg, um erste Impressionen von Tallinn einzufangen.
Zuerst erklimmen wir den Domberg, in estnisch Toompea. Hier liegt die Oberstadt von Tallinn. Der Toompea gilt als Wahrzeichen von Tallinn und gehört als Teil der Altstadt von Tallinn zum UNESCO Weltkulturerbe.
Sofort fällt uns die weiße Fassade des Justizpalastes ins Auge, die sich majestätisch in den Himmel streckt.
Den Dom lassen wir rechts liegen. Ein weiterer Besuch ist angedacht, um die Umgebung besser zu erkunden. Statt dessen bewundern wir die Fassade der orthodoxen Alexander Newski Kathedrale mit ihren schwarzen Zwiebeltürmen.
Vorbei an der Stadtmauer und dem ehemaligen Kanonenturm (Kiek In De Kök) der heute Teil des Tallinner Stadtmuseums ist, erreichen wir den Vabaduse valjak, den Freiheitsplatz. Das riesige Kreuz am Rande des Platzes ist das Denkmal für den Unabhängigkeitskrieg. Der Platz wurde in seiner heutigen Form 2009 nach der Erreichung der Unabhängigkeit von der Sowjetunion wiedereröffnet. Am anderen Ende des Platzes steht die Johanniskirche.
Einige Meter weiter finden wir die Nikolaikirche ( Niguliste kirik), eines der Wahrzeichen von Tallinn. Sie wurde zwischen 1230 und 1275 von westfälischen Kaufleuten gegründet. Auch sie ist heute Teil des Kunstmuseums und dient auch als Konzertsaal
Wir wenden uns nun dem modernen Teil Tallinns zu. Auf der Suche nach einer Wäscherei passieren wir das Opernhaus und erreichen das Viertel mit den Glasfassaden der Hochhäuser. IT-Firmen, Hotels und Banken haben sich hier angesiedelt. Ein runder unbeschrifteter Zylinder (Nordea Maja) entpuppt sich als Hauptsitz der Fa. Oracle in Tallinn.
Wir finden auch den Waschsalon, müssen aber am nächsten Tag wiederkommen, da für diesen Tag keine Geräte mehr frei sind. Wir machen uns also wieder auf den Weg in die Altstadt.

Alatskivi Castle (Estonian: Alatskivi loss, German: Schloss Allatzkiwwi) is a Neo-Gothic castle in Alatskivi, Estonia. Dating to the 17th century, it is situated in Alatskivi Parish, Tartu County. It was rebuilt in the late 19th century by Baron Arved von Nolcken, modeled on the royal residence of Balmoral in Scotland. A renovation occurred between 2005 and 2011. Five rooms on the first floor house the Eduard Tubin museum, which documents his accomplishments as a music composer and conductor.
Alatskivi Castle is surrounded by various ancillary buildings and a forested park of 130 hectares (320 acres) area, the largest in Tartu County. The park contains many oaks, ashes, maples, alders and an approach road lined with linden trees.
Alatskivi Castle is located 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Tartu and 205 kilometres (127 mi) from Tallinn. It is built on the high bank of Lake Alatskivi at the foot of the Alatskivi valley.[3] An arched entrance leads to the castle along a road lined with linden trees
[RUS] Замок А́латскиви (эст. Alatskivi loss, нем. Schloss Allatzkiwwi) — замок-мыза в неоготическом стиле в Эстонии, уезд Тартумаа, волость Алатскиви, посёлок Алатскиви. До земельной реформы 1919 года замок вместе с окружавшим его комплексом хозяйственных построек являлся рыцарской мызой.
Замок выстроен на берегу одноимённого озера. Он имеет асимметричный план: одно его крыло больше другого, одно имеет один этаж, другое — два.
Вокруг замка расположено 41 небольшое вспомогательное здание (исторически их было 57: прачечная, кухня, конюшни, сараи, мельница, церковь, кладбище и другие), парк вокруг замка занимает 130 гектаров и является самым большим парком уезда Тартумаа. Основные деревья: дубы, ясени, клёны, ольха, вдоль прилегающей дороги высажены липы; помимо озера, в парке выкопаны два небольших пруда. В парке стоит скульптура мифологического богатыря Калевипоэга, ранее там также стояла копия Аполлона Бельведерского, но ныне она перемещена в парк Кадриорг, Таллин)
