Saturday 18th July 2015.
I took the kids to Bankfield Museum in Boothtown, Halifax. We enjoyed a little picnic first before going in to the museum and I was actually really surprised by how kid friendly the place is! We spent much longer there than I had imagined we would....the kids loved it! They especially loved it when we could visit the on grounds park afterwards too ;)

VISITING SHIBDEN HALL + ANNE LISTER'S GRAVE / VLOG
This was one of the most amazing experiences and I will truly treasure it for always. I highly recommend Shibden Hall and Park to visit. If anyone needs information finding the Anne's grave's don't hesitate to message me on any of my social media.

Shibden Hall Halifax West Yorkshire 4K
Shibden Hall is a Grade II* listed historic house located in a public park at Shibden, West Yorkshire, England. The building has been extensively modified from its original design by generations of residents, although its Tudor half-timbered frontage remains its most recognisable feature.
One of its most notable residents was Anne Lister who inherited the hall from a relative. Lister has been described as being the first modern lesbian due to her many affairs with women in the 19th century. Its also a filming location, for the BBC tv series Gentlemen Jack

This is just a shorty one we did on location at Shibden Hall. Dr John Lister gave us the tour so we did a quickie interview with him - he was very a nice spirit, loving and had a great deal of love for his former home

Vlog 24 - Shibden House a look at the life and times of Ann Lister.
This visit takes place near Halifax and is the stately home of Shibden Hall, where the lady of the house, Ann Lister, was a focus of and in particular here writings and musings of life. As a member of the Victorian society, but gay with it, life was pretty hard but she fought the odds and gained notoriety and social status as a result of a little fire; a fire which she also wrote about in her sexual exploits.
This visit was part of an episode filming Antiques Road Trip for the BBC, featuring David Harper and I shot a little Vlog and B-Roll to throw out there, showing the types of work I get up to of a day.
