Banque du Liban museum, Beirut: Banque de la Syrie et du Grand-Liban / 1925-1939
Coming to Lebanon, I had to visit the highly interesting museum inside the Lebanese Central bank (Banque du Liban)!
The notes shown in the videos are mostly unpayable, extremely expensive, rare and beautiful!

Lebanon is a country in Western Asia. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east and Israel to the south, while Cyprus is west across the Mediterranean Sea. Lebanon's location at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland facilitated its rich history and shaped a cultural identity of religious and ethnic diversity. At just 10,452 km2 (4,036 sq. mi.), it is the smallest recognized sovereign state on the mainland Asian continent.

Sharing is caring. There are lots and lots of nifty social network links under this video. If you could click on a few of them and help spread this video around a bit I would appreciate it! Something about analytics or video rankings. Yeah, it helps that. I guess.
Some folks have asked me how to get a shout out and sending me something in the mail pretty much guarantees it. I don't care what it is. It could be a sticker, a card or a photo of your cat Mr. Mewzers. Here's my PO box in case you want to send me something. (Yes, I do trade banknotes.)

Lebanon before 1975 civil war [Part B]
In the future, history will record that one of the most destructive and stupid wars since the dawn of civilization was our civil war [1975-1990].All sides did not win anything or achieve any goal. All of us were losers. The war ended abruptly as it started, but after 15 years .The same ailments in the Lebanese society that led to the silly war are still present, they are even much more prominant..We destroyed our country in a meaningless silly war for the sake of hollow ideologies or better still, for mere nothing. Our lives were ruined .I will present here more photos of my country before we decided to destroy it in 1975.Most of these photos were originally posted by [Kheireddine] on

The Sursock Museum of Contemporary Art - A Cultural Treasure in Beirut, Lebanon
The Sursock Museum of Contemporary Art is a real cultural treasure in Lebanon's capital Beirut. It is a place where history meets modern art. The Museum is located in Ashrafieh, one of Beirut's oldest districts. A visit to the Museum is free of charge but you can choose to leave a small donation.
The Sursock Museum is housed in the former residence of Nicolas Sursock, a Lebanese art collector and a member of the prominent Sursock family. At the heart of the Museum, you can visit Salon Arabe, the oriental style lounge where Nicolas Sursock welcomed guests. The ceiling and the walls of Salon Arabe are decorated with hand carved woodwork which was imported from Damascus in the 1920s. One of the walls features a tile panel, created by 17th century craftsmen in Damascus.
The Sursock Museum has recently undergone a major restoration and expansion of the existing building. As part of the renovation project, four underground floors have been added to the original building. The modern design of the new part is characterised by simplicity and elegance. The new part of the Museum houses a library and various modern art exhibitions.
