Tsushima Island, Japan
Tsushima (対馬)is an island in Nagasaki prefecture that's closer to Korea than mainland Japan. I lived there for a year as a part of the JET Program. There are 6 towns on the island: Kamitsushima, Kamiagata, Mine, Toyotama, Mitsushima, and Izuhara, and they all have lots of interesting places.
Leave a comment if you have any other questions about Tsushima, I will try my best to help!

If you would like to know what information I used to get my way around the Island please check out more information down below.
This video combines two days of my trip. As much as Izuhara City was bigger than Hitakatsu, I liked Hitakatsu much more. It was just more quiet. Though there is more things to do in Izuhara. I don't know if I recommend going to the Red Rice fields. They are suppose to turn red early September and I went late September. Either they didn't last very long with a red color tint or they didn't plant the red rice at all. Either way, I wouldn't really go unless you really REALLY want to see it. As for the squid boat thing. I was told that it's a hit or miss with seeing the boats. It depends on the weather and season and I guess it just wasn't my time to see it. The trip was great. I hope you find these videos useful. I was a little disappointed with the videos I saw on youtube, so I hope these will help. Enjoy your trip if you get to go.
