Located in Bansko, a 10-minute walk from the Gondola Ski Lift, Trinity Bansko SPA Hotel offers free use of its indoor pools, sauna and a steam bath. A hot tub is at guests' disposal at a surcharge. Free WiFi and free private parking are available.

Skiing - Bansko, Bulgaria - Unravel Travel TV
Pirin Mountains, Bansko, Bulgaria a purpose-built ski resort that uniquely for Bulgaria also serves as a working town. As a result, it offers excellent skiing, good quality hotels and a lively après ski with the character and atmosphere of a small Balkan town.
At the end of the day skiers and snowboarders can choose between returning to town on the lift, or skiing down the resorts popular ski road. As a ski centre, it is well known in Bulgaria but just opening up to foreign visitors, one of Banskos most attractive features is the old town, making it a great place to explore after a day on the slopes.
Skiing: Situated at 925m above sea level, Bansko is 25 minutes by high speed gondola lift from the resort's skiing area, comprising 65km of marked ski runs lying at altitudes of between 2,000m and 2,500m. The ski school in Bansko is run by ULEN which has some of Bulgarias best ski instructors and ski equipment, making Bansko a perfect base for first time skiers. Bansko ski runs offer many blue and red runs, suited to intermediate skiers who want to improve their techniques or simply enjoy a challenging day out on the slopes. Advanced skiers will be kept busy with Bansko's red runs and the Albertotomba black run. The resort is a great place for experienced skiers to learn new techniques.

Nestled in the Pirin Mountain range, Bansko is a picturesque town with a deep tradition of Bulgarian culture. Bansko is home to a number of cultural monuments and history buffs will revel in the architecture -- simply walking the cobblestone streets of the historic centre and looking at the traditional houses which date back centuries is a feast for the senses. The local art school, with its unique icon collection is also a great place to regenerate ones cultural soul. And yet, when all is said and done, Bansko is also a modern ski town ready to provide residents and tourists alike with all that they need to make their stay convenient and comfortable. A Fast Walk Through Charming Bansko, Bulgaria
Bansko is located at the foot of the Pirin Mountains, only 150 kilometers/93 miles from Sofia and is one of the leading winter ski resorts in the Bulgaria. The Old Town is considered to be an architectural historical and archaeological reserve. Architecture from the period of Revival (Eighteenth to Nineteenth Century) can be seen on every street; built in a unique manner with stone outsides. They are all gorgeous while several are extremely impressive. (Everything was closed by the time we arrived but could still admire the outside facades.)
Although town center, as well as the ancient part of Bansko is only five minutes away from the hotel, we had a devil of a time finding Lovna Sreshta Restaurant or Tavern because streets wind through town. But it was worth it! This adorable restaurant/tavern has wonderful food and is located in the home of one of the voievodes of the Llinden Rebellion, Simeon Molerov, dating from 1850. (I don't have the faintest idea what a voievode is, do you?) I do know what the Llinden Rebellion is; an uprising against the Ottomans.

Ski/Snowboard road trip from Bucharest, Romania to Bansko, Bulgaria just in time for the New Year's Eve ????
This year we made it fun! We avoided planes, personal cars and convinced John to borrow a van from work and we went with it ???? (just a pretext for loading our entire home).
This is our 1st time in Bansko and half of the holiday we had no snow and only half of the slopes were open (from 1635m to the top 2600 - 1,2,3,8,10,11).
The other half of our vacation the snow cannons produced enough snow and the bottom part was also open and you could reach the bottom on skis or snowboard (1)
To get to Banderitza, you can get Gondola, Ski Bus (free of charge if you have ski pass) or taxi for 10 leva / person.
Anyway we waited in line from 45 min to more than an hour.
Best combos - Banderitza 1 & Banderitza 2 or Plato & Mosta / Shiligarnik.
