In the village of Yehliu, the elaborate, 19th-century Baoan Temple was built using materials from an abandoned boat.

Beitou Thermal Valley or Geothermal Valley（地熱谷) is a volcanic crater filled with steaming natural sulfuric hot spring water. During the Japanese colonial era, the valley was known as one of Taiwan's eight great natural beauties and the magical translucent green colored waters gave rise to one of its pet names, Jade Springs Valley. The mineral composition of the rare green sulfur spring waters can only be found in two locations in the world, here in Beitou and in Akita, Japan.
The temperatures of the waters can reach up to 100°C (212°F), making them unsuitable for bathing. However, the curling steamy mist that rises up from the waters can climb as high as 100 meters into the sky, and depending on the winds, can completely engulf themselves around visitors, making for a spectacular sight. The eery steam is also the reason for the area's other nickname, Hell Valley. Despite being the hottest spring in the area, it is said that the residual heat source is insufficient to sustain another volcanic eruption, so the valley's days may be numbered.

The museum has nearly 700K pieces of Ancient Chinese imperial artifacts and artwork in their permanent collections. The largest collection of its kind. Most of their collection are of high quality and was collected by China's Emperors. General Admissions is at NT 350. In this video I'll just be showing the beauty of its outside area. Yehliu Geopark is home to a number of unique geological formations. The most famous and iconic is the Queen's Head (女王頭). Yehliu Geopark is located along a cape stretching out from the town of Wanli. Part of the Daliao Miaocene Formation, the cape stretches around 1,700 meters, formed as thousands of years of geological movement forced the Datun Mountains to change their shape, jutting out into the ocean. Besides the Queen's Head, other remarkable formations include Mushrooms, Sea Candles (燭台石), Fairy Shoe (仙女鞋), and the famous Princess's Head.

One of the premier destinations in northern Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark is home to a number of unique geological formations including the iconic Queen's Head (女王頭), and is located along a cape stretching out from the town of Wanli.
Part of the Daliao Miaocene Formation, the cape stretches around 1,700 meters, formed as thousands of years of geological movement forced the Datun Mountains to change their shape, jutting out into the ocean.
Besides the Queen's Head, other remarkable formations include Sea Candles (燭台石), Fairy Shoe (仙女鞋), Ginger Rocks, Elephant Rock, Ice Cream Rock, Kissing Rock, and Princess' Head.
Next to the geopark is the Yehliu Ocean World (野柳海洋世界), which is an oceanarium with ocean exhibits, and sea life including dolphin and sea lion performances. Tickets for the oceanarium can be reserved online, and is a fun addition to the more educational experience at the geopark.
How to get there:
From Keelung Station, Ride a bus no.790 going to Jinshan and drop to Yehliu. 5 to 8 minutes of walking to the entrance of Yehliu Geopark.
