Hey Guys,

Time for dinner in the heart of Ibiza Town during our one-day The Cruise stop over on the Balearic Island. Our choice of the night: the beautiful terrace square “Plaça del Sol” with the identically named Restaurant. Live Music and mild temperatures until the middle of the night made this location the right place to be at Dalt Vila. And the delicious Asian cuisine under the leaf canopy of the square not to mention… It was the perfect ending to a perfect summer holiday day on Ibiza island. Read more:

Island in Spain
Ibiza is an island in the Mediterranean Sea 79 km off the coast of the city of Valencia in Spain. It is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain. With Formentera, it is one of the two Pine Islands or Pityuses. Wikipedia
Population: 132,637 (Jan 1, 2010)
Area: 571 km²
Island groups: Balearic Islands, Pityusic Islands
Nightlife
Sant Antoni, West End
Sunset at Café del Mar, Sant Antoni de Portmany
Ibiza is considered to be a popular tourist destination, especially due to its legendary and at times riotous nightlife centred around two areas: Ibiza Town, the island's capital on the southern shore and Sant Antoni to the West.[1] Well-known nightclubs are Privilege, Amnesia, Space, Pacha, Eden, Es Paradís, Underground and DC10.[1] During the summer, the top producers and DJs in dance come to the island and play at the various clubs, in between touring to other international destinations. Some of the most famous DJs run their own weekly nights around the island. Many of these DJs use Ibiza as an outlet for presenting new songs within the house, trance and techno genres of electronic dance music. The city has achieved renown worldwide fame as a cultural center for house and trance in particular, with its name often being used as a partial metonym for the particular flavor of electronic music originating there, much like Goa in India.
Since 2005, the live music event, Ibiza Rocks, has helped to redefine the Ibiza party landscape. Bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Prodigy, and the Kaiser Chiefs have played in the courtyard of the Ibiza Rocks Hotel. And from 2013 Ushuaïa Ibiza will be turned into a giant ant colony to coincide with the new ANTS dance music events every Saturday.[18]
Elsewhere on the island, underground music parties are common and enjoyed by the many international musicians, artists, and travelers that are drawn to the unique creative environment of Ibiza.
The season traditionally begins at the start of June with Space and DC10's opening parties and finishes on the first weekend of October with the Closing Parties. A typical schedule for clubbers going to Ibiza includes waking at noon, early evening naps, late night clubbing, and disco sunrises. Due to Ibiza's notable tolerance toward misbehaviour from young adult tourists, it has acquired the sobriquet Gomorrah of the Med. Also well-known is Café del Mar, a long-standing bar where many tourists traditionally view the sunset made famous by José Padilla, who has released more than a dozen eponymous album compilations of ambient music played at the location. That and other bars close by have become an increasingly popular venue for club pre-parties after sunset, hosting popular DJ performers.
The island's government is trying to encourage a more cultured and quieter tourism scene, passing rules including the closing of all nightclubs by 6 a.m. at the latest, and requiring all new hotels to be 5-star.[19] The administration wants to attract a more international mixture of tourists.[20]

IBIZA 2018
Our trip to Ibiza was different from an usual trip, it was more like a gateaway to chase summer that was nearly over. At the end of September we were navigating the internet and we found a great offer on Skyscanner and Booking:
- Outward flight with Ryanair
- Return flight with Vueling
- 4 nights in Hostel Annibal in Sant Antoni
So we did this little trip to Ibiza with a bit more than €100 and this island surprised us. Ibiza in October is surely different than in summer:
- Full of parties
- Exclusive
- Sleepless
But, even if during this period it is more quiet, you shouldn’t underestimate it.
In October, Ibiza isn’t as hot as in summer. Temperature is about 23° during the day but it gets colder during the night and sea water’s temperature is about 23° too. This climate is very comfortable, especially for people who don’t like too hot temperatures.

The Hostel was in a great position since it was near the most beautiful beaches in the island and also near the best Ibiza’s nightlife which is in Sant Antoni and Platia d’en Bossa. Sant Antoni is in the South-Western side of the island and it has a lot of wonderful beaches with crystal-clear water and white sand. Our favourite beaches were:
- Cala Salada
- Cala Comte
- Cala Bassa (a bit chic in our opinion)
However, all the beaches in the island are well organised and made accessible also for people, like Marco, who wouldn’t have been able to get in.

Last but not least, the food! Another amazing part of our little trip.
Since Ibiza is a tourist island, it wasn’t an easy job to find a not expensive restaurant where the real spanish cousine could be tasted. However, after a deep resarch, we found the amazing Bar Restaurant Benitez, in the heart of Sant Antoni. This is a modest bar. Its appearance doesn’t reflect its quality and it would be a real pity not to give it the chance it deserves. Tapas, paella, sangria and staff hospitality made our holiday unforgettable.

We Found An Abandoned Club In Ibiza
We Found An Abandoned Club In Ibiza, The Festival Club is in on the hills above San Jose, which sits on the old road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio. The complex was complete with bars, a restaurant and a huge outdoor terraced seating area as well as a bull ring from my research and I mean you can see it in the video! Apparently, it was open in 1972
