SAMARA A CATANIA: cosa è successo REALMENTE.. I GamingRules
VIDEO INFORMATIVO!

CILENTO kayak tour 2017 - Full Documentary
Noi ci proveremo!
In September 2017 I decide to kayak the coast of the Cilento National Park. 53 nautical miles to go. With me there is my friend Michele Esposito. We decide to depart from the port of Agropoli and get to the port of Scario. Tell us that this year yet no one has managed to turn the Cilento due to the adverse weather conditions always. We will try!

On an early, cloudy morning, I set off for the Campania region with my fellow Jforcers. I took the Yellow bus with Student Life Assistant (SLA) Mitch and the Padres (Father Al and Father Ted), so with Jesus on board and Ed Sheeran setting the mood, playing in the headphones Natalie and I shared, we were ready to take on the gloomy day.
Our first stop was Paetsum, where the temples of Neptune, Ceres (Athena), and Hera stand erect. Given no warning about the possible weather conditions, I did not wear wear my loveable yellow rainboots to make the trip more bearable. The cover of the museum ceiling was a relief for all. Again, this excursion demonstrated how miserable conditions brings people closer together, whether bonding over complaining or physically closer under the cover of an awning.
Fun facts: the Greeks really liked their pomegranates. Apparently they represent fertility, so they painted them all over the place rather randomly. Also, they liked their honey. Next to the spears in the tomb-offering-things they kept many large jars of honey. It's like a Warrior Winnie the Pooh Bear-Man Cave.
As the sun went down and after a bus-ride nap, we arrived in Vietri on the Amalfi coast where our hotel was located. I was very excited with my room accommodations. Not only was I residing alone, but my room was adorable. Seriously I could move there. Did you see the balcony? The TV also plays fun Italian reality game shows like FORTE, FORTE, FORTE. And my orientation welcome dinner was at a table with Marilyn the business director. So starts my developing friendships with faculty members!
Natalie and I took a post-dinner walk up the hill from the hotel. The neighborhood had a lovely boardwalk leading toward the sea, making it a peaceful end to our night.
After having a full buffet breakfast, we set out for a full day of adventure. To commence our trip, the yellow bus jammed out to Uptown Funk with a Jesuit and a Trinitarian throwing their hands up in the air after each Hallelujah. Our first stop was to a classy wine tasting. The white and the red were both really good, but my favorite item there was the bread with their signature olive oil. I'm not an olive oil fan, but dang that was tasty. However, the flavor could not compare to the amazingness that was buffalo mozzarella. We went to a buffalo farm in which the mozzarella, gelato, yogurt, and everything else was organic and fresh. They also treat their buffalos very, very well. The buffalo get massages and listen to classical music. Because of this high quality, I will never have truly great cheese again. Also, I waited in the long line of eager college students for the gelato. BEST DECISION I MADE ON THE TRIP. I've had quite a few bowls of pistachio gelato in my time, but this by far was the best I have ever had and probably will ever have. Eating it was a spiritual experience. Nothing will compare. NOTHING.
When we pulled up into a parking lot in a dismal corner of town for our Agropoli stop, I didn't have high hopes for our tour. However, after a trek uphill, we came to some of the best sites for views of the coast and Mediterranean. AND THERE WAS A CASTLE. My vanilla tea to warm up with at the local bar (bar is cafe in italian) came with biscuits. Food + warm drink = happy Rachel.
Our busride back to the hotel that night was the most fun I could have had on the road with 50 people. Everyone joined in singing to throwback songs. Even the Padres got in on the action.
My second dinner at the hotel was again accompanied by another faculty member. This time the one, the only, everyone's favorite Dutchman, Professor Sander Evers. He helped me get my vegetarian food, mocked my excessive hand gestures, and told stories of the characters his has met on his travels. Faculty member friend development #2!
Because we were eating, I didn't think of bringing my camera, but I wish I had. Our treat after dessert was a performance by a group of folk musicians and dancers from the Mt. Vesuvius area. Since most of the individuals at dinner had a glass or two of wine during their meal, there was much joining of dancing. Featured was a conga line and an appearance of From the window to the wall.
Our last day out was to the mountain top abbey of St. Benedict. I don't think I have ever actually seen snow capped mountains before, so the landscape view was especially special to me. The building itself is a construction of old and new. The abbey has been destroyed a total of 4 times. Their are remnants of the original from centuries and centuries ago, but the newest parts are only some 60 years old. The Italian governments paid to have it rebuilt after the Americans bombed it in World War II. We thought the Nazis were hiding there. We were wrong. Oops.
And with a sleepy busride back, so ended my weekend orientation trip!

COZUMEL, EL CIELO COZUMEL, SNORKELING TOUR COZUMEL MEXICO, MEXICAN BEACH, EL CIELO SAND BAR
CORRALEJO SAND DUNES, FUERTEVENTURA, CANARY ISLANDS, PLACES TO VISIT FUERTEVENTURA, Corralejo is a town and resort located on the northern tip of Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, facing the smaller islet of Lobos. It is in the municipality of La Oliva. It is surrounded to the north and east by the Atlantic Ocean, by dunes to the south and by arid desert land to the west that leads to the western coast and El Cotillo. Once a traditional fishing village, the town has grown significantly and today is one of the two main tourist towns on the island of Fuerteventura. Thanks to the large expat population, the town has a diverse population that varies from the local Spaniard, to the Irish, British, German and Finnish people who have settled in the resort. The area has 7 miles (11 km) of fine sand starting 2 miles (3.2 km) outside of Corralejo, alongside some smaller bays across the coast. In addition, there are several miles of sand dunes located nearby, which have been designated as a nature reserve. The waters around Corralejo are clear and an intense shade of blue, but are affected by strong currents. The town's beaches are somewhat more sheltered and have a band of volcanic rock along the shoreline. Corralejo has existed for most of its history as a humble and unimportant fishing village, where a handful of poor fishermen worked long hours to provide for their families. In the early 1970s, with its extraordinary beaches and expansive dunes, the tourism that had arrived in the south of the island in the 1960s began to venture north. Corralejo had very humble beginnings as a tourist resort. John Mercer, who visited the then village in the early 1970s as research for a book on the island, left a record of the humble first steps Corralejo took into the tourist industry: The village, however, unattractive and quite without interest. Why anyone should wish to spend any time there until its development is over and the dust and noise have died down is not clear.. a visitor or a purchaser can wake up any day to find a house or a hotel starting a metre or two away. -John Mercer, Canary Islands: Fuerteventura. 1973 Mercer prophetically said that Corralejo would long be simply a spreading building site, dominated by concrete mixers, lorries, floating discarded cement bags, falling rubble and staring whistling oafs. Tourism continued to develop in the town through the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, reaching a peak in the 2000s. Hotels, apartments and villas sprang up. Many British and Irish tourists fell in love with the resort and felt happy to relocate there permanently. In the decades following Mercer's account of Corralejo's tourist development, that same growth of the tourist industry saw the population of Corralejo and the La Oliva region grow significantly. In the 1975 census the population of La Oliva was 2,900, with that population now just above 25,000. Corralejo is serviced by a bus service (both public and chartered) and by a local taxi service operated by the region of La Oliva. The public bus service (Tiadhe) operates a bus service from the island's capital Puerto del Rosario (number 6), and from Puerto del Rosario to Caleta de Fuste and the Fuerteventura Airport (number 3) and down to the south of the island and the resort town of Morro Jable (number 1). Corralejo is serviced by taxis that offer local transport around the town and out to the beaches, and also travel further afield to the airport and other points and towns of interest. Ferries regularly connect the port of Corralejo with Playa Blanca in the south of Lanzarote.
