SYDNEY HARBOUR WALKABOUT. A walk along around the foreshore of Darling Harbor from the Crown Tower (building in progress) along the Barangaroo Prominade to Cockle Bay and around to Pyrmont Bay. Barangaroo Reserve - Barangaroo, Syd.
An old industrial sight transformed into Sydney’s newest Harbour park. The reserve has toilets and a great place to escape the busy city, a bit noisy when we went due to the construction along the foreshore. There are awesome lookouts to the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Anzac Bridge. Great walking tracks, cycling trails and an flat surface for the kids scooters. Bring a picnic basket and enjoy the sunshine. As usual you will find trouble parking in the city, we managed to find a meter parking close by, but if you have trouble there is Secure Parking under the park, not sure of the price. I didn't think it could get so windy up there, my apologies for some noisy audio in some parts, so I added a soundtrack I'm sure you will enjoy. Advance Australia Fair , this version is commonly used in most of our Primary Schools and will bring back fond memories of school. Anyway enjoy our video and hope you get a chance to visit one day.

Initially placed in the hands of Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority,[23] the Barangaroo Delivery Authority was established pursuant to the Barangaroo Delivery Authority Act, 2009 No 2 to facilitate a high quality commercial and mixed use precinct at Barangaroo balancing social, economic and environment outcomes, including the establishment of a headland park and other public domains; amongst other objectives.[24] Supporting the Authority is a Design Excellence Review Panel that comprised Paul Keating (Chairman from 2005 until 2011),[25] Chris Johnson, Bridget Smyth, Oi Choong, James Weirick, Angelo Candalepas, and Leo Schofield (resigned 2011). The role of the Panel was to guide the government authority on a range of design issues, such as architecture, landscape and culture. Commissioned initially in 2005, the Panel was instrumental in the selection of Hill Thalis Architecture as the winning the international design competition in 2006.[26] The winning team was commissioned to assist the Government in developing the design during the latter part of 2006. There was early debate regarding the design and size of waterfront developments. The City of Sydney and some architectural bodies expressed concern that the proposed designs would be out of scale with the surrounding environment, as well as causing large unwanted shadows over the immediate area, parts of Darling Harbour and possibly nearby Pyrmont.
