Young Rebels will next perform in CIVIC at Royal William Yard from 20 - 22 February. More info here:

Plymouth is famous for the Mayflower, despite the fact that the Pilgrims actually set sail from Southampton and ended up in Plymouth because of a problem. However, Plymouth definitely markets the connection. The Mayflower steps are near the harbour (but ask a local about the authenticity!)
I suggest you take a boat ride.
Plymouth is a fun town. Check it out.

Barbican Theatre's FUSE Diverse Dance 'Put On Your Red Shoes'
Film created during our Barbican Theatre's FUSE Diverse Dance 'Put On Your Red Shoes' performances at The Plymouth Athenaeum (15 & 16 February 2019)
Suzie West, our FUSE Diverse Dance Lead Practitioner and Choreograopher says
The strength of the cast for this production is in its diversity. We were so pleased to dance along side 96 pairs of red dancing shoes and celebrate what we all have in common - a love of dance. From Contemporary, Bharatnatyam, Ballet, Street, Flamenco , Lindy Hop to Tap this production is a universal exploration of rhythm and connection. This production was an R&D for plurilogicality - there is space for more than one voice, rhetoric or arcing narrative. It seems fitting that pluriglogicality is explored within the ethos of diversity and the forming of a community of practice. The multiple voices, styles, cultural groups and stories about peoples life long relationship with dance needed to be the focal point for this first project. The process of sharing stories and dancing alongside each other for the first time has been important for FUSE, and will be a strong base for our next ventures. We can't wait to invite you all to the next project in August. Keep your eyes peeled!
