BARDA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY - Documentary
The barda mountains are about 90 KMS from Jamnagar.
Entry to this wonderful place is done after taking permits from the forest department, which falls under Porbunder district. One can take the permissions from the gate from where the uphill starts. Taking a heavy vehichle like Sumo, Qualis or Tempo trax is advised.
Its a tough road up the hills, but the drive is a great experience and it gives a chance to spot a variety of birds and animals.

Jamnagar is really beautiful city and we friends recently got chance to explore near by places. Actually, we was invited by our friend Nipul on his marriage and luckily we got Saturday and Sunday. So, we planned trip to visit few places which were nearby Jam-Khambhadia (marriage location).
On first day, Saturday, we directly go Kileshwar Mahadev Temple (Barda Wildlife Sanctuary) from Ahmedabad. We started our journey from Ahmedabad around 6:30 AM and reached Jamnagar by 11:00 AM. Then we visited Rasoi Dam and reached Milan Ragdawada (Lalpur) where we ate much, almost tried all dishes. Then we visited few windmills on the way and then reached Kileshwar Temple by 4:00 PM.
After spending good time at Kileshwar, we departed for Ghumli which is almost 8 kms from there (entry point of Barda Wildlife Sanctuary).
It was really such an amazing trip with friends.

Barda Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Porbandar,gujarat
Located at about 15 km from Porbandar, the Sanctuary is distributed in two districts i.e. Porbandar and Jamnagar. The Sanctuary area is a green surrounded by agriculture fields, wastelands and forest and the terrain of Barda is almost hilly.
The Sanctuary exhibits great variety of fauna including variety of butterflies, Lion, Chinkara, Sambar, crocodile and chameleon, ratel, leopard, wolf, Spotted Eagle and Crested Hawk-Eagle. Of the four common venomous snakes, three are found here. It is still called as Rana Barda and Jam Barda by local people as the sanctuary was a private property of princely states of Ranavav (Porbandar) and Jamnagar. You can also enjoy trekking in Barda hills. Best time to visit the sanctuary is from November to march.
