Melbourne Common Lights - how many cyclists take less than 40 seconds up that 18% climb?!
I delay setting off from the green light to let the landrover go first - just to avoid the grief some drivers give when following through lights. It might not be immediately obvious from the video but this is an 18% climb so most cyclists are going to take a little while. But Severn Trent obviously think 40 seconds is enough for everybody as the lights have clearly changed for the oncoming traffic before I've made the top of the roadworks...

Bee Cottage Rutland
Situated in the village of Cottesmore and only 5 minutes away from Rutland Water is a 16th century picture perfect thatched cottage. With original features such as exposed beams, a newly installed wood burning stove and ample living space, the cottage provides accommodation for up to 5 people.
The cottage has a deceptively large living area, with separate seating around a second decorative stone fireplace as well as a tucked away reading corner and a conservatory in which to enjoy a cup of tea. The dining room nestles between the kitchen, lounge and conservatory - bright and airy for leisurely breakfasts and perfectly practical for having an evening meal for up to 6 people.
Upstairs, there are two beautifully presented bedrooms with crisp linens and fluffy towels. The third bedroom is situated downstairs with direct access to the garden.
The cottage is situated in a quiet lane only a stone’s throw away from the village pub and shops. With plenty of activities to keep visitors of all ages busy around Rutland Water, the Bee cottage is the ideal place where visitors can relax and put their feet up after busy days exploring England's smallest county.

Wildlife Photography UK - Introduction to Rutland Water famous for its Osprey.
This is my first visit to Rutland Water and the nature reserve around the Anglian Water birdwatching centre at the village of Egleton. The Nature reserve in this area has many species and is the home of the Osprey. During our visit we saw, Great Whit Egret, Little Egret, Shovelers, Shelduck, Cormorant and many others. There are over 30 bird watching hides but in this short visit we only managed to visit a few of them.
