Shadow Paranormal - Return to Bartlow Three Hills - S03E06
Back in 2013 we investigated at the Bartlow Three Hills and were surprised about the amount and sinister nature of the activity we experienced. Because of this we thought it would be an ideal location to re-investigate...
Bartlow is a small village and civil parish in the South Cambridgeshire district of Cambridgeshire, England, about 12 miles (19 km) south-east of Cambridge and 7 miles (11 km) west of Haverhill in Suffolk. The River Granta runs through the village
Bartlow is also home to Bartlow Hills, a Roman tumuli cemetery with three remaining mounds, though only one falls into the parish of Bartlow. Originally, all of the Bartlow Hills were in Essex County and were part of the parish of Ashdon, a village in Essex, (1.5 miles south) when the boundary between Cambridgeshire and Essex ran from Steventon End to the River Granta, then along the Granta westwards to Linton, as shown on Ordnance Survey maps including those dated 1805, 1838 and 1882
What you are going to watch is a very real, scary ghost video. Nothing has been faked or set up for the camera.
Bartlow Hills
Bartlow Hills is the largest burial mound in the north of Europe. Fascinating history going back 2,000 years. Let me tell you all about it.

Shadow Paranormal - Bartlow Three Hills - S02E02
Shadow Paranormal S02E02: The Bartlow Hills are the largest burial mounds in Europe. There is not a lot of information about the hauntings here but the Shadow Paranormal crew encountered something a lot more sinister than they were expecting...

Shadow Paranormal - Horseheath & Bartlow III - Ghost Hunting - S05E06
The team return a third time to both the Horseheath churchyard and the Barlow three hills where activity has been very intense on previous visits.
Horseheath is a village in Cambridgeshire, England, situated a few miles south-east of Cambridge, between Linton and Haverhill, on the A1307 road. It was known to the Romans, and it had for a while a fine house in a great park, but both are now gone. The population of the village is included in the civil parish of Bartlow.
An ancient bony creature, half-clothed in rags is how the 19th century woman known as Daddy Witch was described. Well-known in the area as one of the witches who would gather at midnight revels in the fields, she lived in a ramshackle hut almost surrounded by water, known as Daddy Witch's Pond. This was in a spot called Garret's Close or Garretfield, opposite the village sheep pond (almost certainly the pond at TL614468).
Upon her death in 1860, she was buried in the middle of the road that leads from the village to Horseheath Green (Howard's Lane), close to her hut. It used to be said that the heat from her body caused that section of road to remain dry, even after a heavy rain. The memory of her was apparently still alive in 1935, when a fire that was spreading along the road was seen to reach her grave, then turn away and continue to burn across the nearby fields. Also in that year the local WI recorded in their Scrapbook that local children were told to nod their heads nine times for luck as they passed the gravesite.

Shadow Paranormal - Return to Horseheath - S03E05
After recording some very interesting paranormal activity on the very first episode in 2012 the team decided it was time to return to Horseheath churchyard to continue searching for answers. This time however, something more sinister awaited them in the darkness...

Shadow Paranormal - Hadstock Graveyard - S03E03
The team investigate a churchyard in Hadstock where previous ghost hunters claim to have communicated with numerous entities...
Hadstock is a village in Essex, England, about 6 miles (10 km) from Saffron Walden. It is on the county boundary with Cambridgeshire and about 9 miles (14 km) from Cambridge. The 2001 Census recorded a parish population of 320, increasing to 332 at the 2011 Census.
The Church of England parish church of Saint Botolph has the oldest door still in use in Great Britain. The oldest parts of the church are thought to date from about AD 1020. Since that time the church has received many additions and undergone several renovations.
On the outskirts of the village is a disused airfield that was used in World War II. While the official name for the airfield became RAF Little Walden, it was originally named after the village of Hadstock.

Shadow Paranormal - Kedington - S01E03
Shadow Paranormal S01E03: Shadow figures, ghostly voices and apparitions have all been sighted in Kedington. In this video we investigate these claims and see if there is any truth behind these stories...
Kedington is a village located between Clare and Haverhill in south-west Suffolk. Known as Kidituna in the Domesday Book (1086), there were 280 people living there at that time. Kedington's church, St Peter and St Paul, is one of the historical treasures of East Anglia, dating from the late 13th century. However, the church is built on top of a Roman villa, the remains of which can be viewed under small trap doors located in the pews towards the back of the nave. There is an Anglo-Saxon stone cross located above the altar on the east wall of the church. This was found near to the church and is believed to be from a church dating from Saxon times. Kedington comes in the top rank of small English churches and is renowned for its unmodernised interior and Barnardiston tombs. John Betjeman understandably christened Kedington ' a village Westminster Abbey'. The 17th century Archbishop of Canterbury John Tillotson was rector of Kedington prior to his elevation.

Mysterious Pyramid Barrows in Cambridgeshire England
These barrows at the village of Bartlow in Cambridgeshire are the largest surviving Roman burial mounds in Western Europe!
Between 1815 and 1840 they were excavated and a rich collection of grave goods, all dated to the late 1st and 2nd century AD, was found. The dead were cremated and placed into large wooden chests or brick chambers, which appear to have been lit by iron lamps. The mounds were built up from layers of soil and chalk with the largest reaching a height of 15m.
