Day 7, arrival at Annapurna Base Camp, Nepal
24 March 2014 - Day 7 of my trek has me finally arriving at Annapurna Base Camp just after sunrise! It was an early morning wake-up call from MBC and about an hour hike up to get to this point, 4130 metres above sea level and the culmination of the trek so far. I give my thoughts and reflections about finally reaching this majestic point!

I had couple spare days left after my trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp(which you can watch in videos in my channel) So, this itinerary was good fit for those spare days.

21 March 2014 - The end of about 6 hours of hiking from Tadopani to Sinuwa. It was a strenuous day, descending and ascending 2 mountains to get to this lodge. Nepal through our eyes - Trip June 2017
Nepal is a wonderful country, one of the most diverse we have ever been to. You'll find here lots of temples, nice sightseeings and a rich wild life. If you love to do mountain trekks, you'll find it here, if you only need to see breathtaking sightseeings with no effort, same. Spirituality is actively part of their lives, hindu and buddhist temples goes together in armony.
Our journey started in Kathmandu Valley, where we visited Thamel (with his shops all over and his night life), the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath (the so called Monkey Temple), Patan (Lalitpur) and its Durbar Square and the beautiful Bhaktapur. We visited Pashupatinath, the place where Nepali people cremate their deads, then Bouddhanath a bouddhist stupa where you can recharge with energy. We departed Kathmandu for a rafting session on Trishuli river in our way to Chitwan Park. We stayed for a few days in Sauraha, very close to the Chitwan Jungle. We had some walks in the jungle and get some new friends there. On our way to Pokhara, we stopped to Lumbini - Buddha's birthplace. In Pokhara, known for the place where all the trekks to Annapurna starts, we admired the sunrise from Sarangkot, visited Shiva's Cave, Devi's Waterfall, the Tibetans refugee camp, the World Peace Pagoda and went on Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake) to visit the temple on the island there. Our journey ended with a sunset seen from Nagarkot hills.

Simba Falls is a well kept secret in Manikhel, about 50 Kms away from Kathmandu city. The trail is one hour long but is quite hard. But it's a great weekend activity for monsoon.
