The Big Duck Discovery Tour
thebigduck.com.au
Big Duck Boat Tours offer ocean adventures departing Victor Harbor or Ex Adelaide CBD (same day transfer) to the beautiful south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia, little more than 1 hr south of Adelaide. Tours visit otherwise inaccessible areas of coastline, islands, and beaches to discover seals, dolphins, seabirds and whales (in season) in their natural environment.
Passengers experience the Southern Ocean and learn about history, geography and wildlife through an informative commentary provided by a friendly and knowledgeable Captain and crew.
The Big Duck is a purpose-built rigid inflatable boat with full sun protection, comfortable seating for up to 24 passengers, on-board toilet, and the highest level of safety equipment, with spray jackets provided. Tours depart from and return to Victor Harbor’s Granite Island Causeway.
The 45-minute Seal Island Tour visits Seal Rock, home to inquisitive Long Nosed Fur seals and Australian Sea Lions, with seabirds and dolphins also common in the area.
The 90-minute Wildlife and Whale Tour departs the Granite Island causeway and cruises past Granite Island to Wright Island where you will learn of the areas whaling history while keeping an eye out for Bottlenose Dolphins. Cruise past the Bluff to West Island and the spectacular cliffs of Kings Beach and Waitpinga before returning home.
For Chinese clientele, we have a mandarin landing page, mandarin tour notes (digital and handouts) and a WeChat account to share the experience.
From June to September Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales visit the area and as a licensed whale watching vessel Big Duck Tours can enter the Southern Right Whale breeding sanctuary of Encounter Bay. If whales have been reported, the Wildlife and Sightseeing Tour diverts to the Whale Watching Tour route.
Boat charters are also available upon request. Bookings online: thebigduck.com.au

Best Beaches in the World?
The beach in front of Normanville and Carrickalinga is probably the best one I have ever been to. The water was so crystal clear and the sand a beautiful light yellow colour. We tested them out briefly on our journey through the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.

The Mighty Mulloway Mission: Ep.2 - Salmon fight hard!
Hey Fishos!
In this week's episode, we set out to conquer once and for all, the mighty mulloway! Arriving on the lower Yorke Peninsula at the crack of dawn, we were welcomed by two decent salmon, which took liking to our live baits, intended for a silver ghost! While we were unsuccessful in laying eyes on our target species, we had an absolute ball with the bycatch of some beautiful salmon.

SUMMARY
=======
Timeline of United States discoveries encompasses the breakthroughs of human thought and knowledge of new scientific findings, phenomena, places, things, and what was previously unknown to exist. From a historical stand point, the timeline below of United States discoveries dates from the 18th century to the 21st century, which have been achieved by discoverers who are either native-born or naturalized citizens of the United States.
With an emphasis of discoveries in the fields of astronomy, physics, chemistry, medicine, biology, geology, paleontology, and archaeology, United States citizens acclaimed in their professions have contributed much. For example, the Bone Wars, beginning in 1877 and ending in 1892, was an intense period of rivalry between two American paleontologists, Edward Drinker Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh, who initiated several expeditions throughout North America in the pursuit of discovering, identifying, and finding new species of dinosaur fossils. In total, their large efforts resulted in when 142 species of dinosaurs being discovered. With the founding of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1958, a vision and continued commitment by the United States of finding extraterrestrial and astronomical discoveries has helped the world to better understand our solar system and universe. As one example, in 2008, the Phoenix lander discovered the presence of frozen water on the planet Mars of which scientists such as Peter H. Smith of the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory (LPL) had suspected before the mission confirmed its existence.
