Boonoo Boonoo National Park, Tenterfield region of NSW - Overland solo trip Part 2

Part 2 of 3.....

After leaving Sundown National Park, I skipped across the border into NSW to Tenterfield. Some 20-30kms north on the Mount Lindsay Highway are a number of cool places to check out. I decided I was going to explore Boonoo Boonoo National Park.
I camped at Cypress Pine campground. This place was quite surprising and beautiful. Also a great alternative to the packed beach destinations in the summer months with countless spots to cool off along the river in the many swimming holes and rock pools. Would definitely recommend stopping there and having a look around.

Basket Swamp Falls

It was wonderfully exhilarating standing in the middle of a raging waterfall, on a protruding rock.
Not shown on camera was the journey back up the track: I had to attempt the steepest part three times, taking a slightly different track each time, before getting onto firmer ground.

Boulder Lodge Sunrising Cloudy Morning

Boulder Lodge is located at a spectacular hillside property in Boonoo Boonoo amongst Boonoo Boonoo, Balder Rock, Girraween and Basket Swamp national parks. While staying at the Boulder Lodge I tried shoot Sunrising as I saw massive Sunset in the evening and unfortunately the morning was cloudy and rainy, yet, it was still such a beauty that I decide to share.
