Did We Really Leave our STABILIZER DOWN? (Redwoods and Oregon)[EPISODE 33 RVLIFE]
Do you have an RV checklist? Do you ALWAYS use it? Ever feel like your forgetting something when you tear down camp? Check out what happened to us as we left our campsite at Bastendorff Beach in Oregon. ????♂️????♀️
The family had a GREAT time at Klamath River RV Park! 2 miles down the road we saw SEALS on the beach and WHALES breaching just off the coast. We highly recommend this RV park (especially staying right on the river). ????????????
While there, we adventured into the Redwood National Park! The Redwoods were AMAZING!! 300' tall trees in an old growth forest is something very special. Driving up the 101 is not for the faint of heart, but definitely worth it. ????????????
Bastendorff State Beach just outside of Coos Bay Oregon was another state park that didn't fail to impress. When we are out of the Thousand Trails system, we always look for state/ county parks. We haven't been let down yet. A special thank you goes out to the lady who chased us down and told us our STABILIZER WAS DOWN!!!!! The girls (and especially our dog) loved walking on the beach on Mother's day. Happy Mother's day Lisa! ????????????????

Bastendorff Beach, Oregon
The latest from our travels.
We intended to stay at Bullard's Beach State Park, but they were 100% full with no sites available when we rolled in. We pulled to the side of the road and Google'd around until we found a county park just a ways up the road. A short drive and we were there. We liked it so much we spent a few nights in the coastal fog & sea air.
Hope you enjoy it! Be sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel and follow us on the 'Gram!
See you soon!

It is so close to the beach you can hear the waves from the park! You can't get any better for location. Bring your RV, stay in a cottage or put up a tent in the beach front camping area!

North Bastendorff Beach, Oregon 8-2015
Moved back to my old spot on N. Bastendorff Beach BLM free camping area. Much more quiet here with less traffic and noise. Have a nice flat grassy spot right next to the water, so might stick around here for a few more days. Ham friends will notice a few new antennas that I put up.
Bastendorff Beach Walk, Aug 2015
Out on a walk checking out other camping possibilities in the area. Lots a tent camping or small RV spots in the trees and a large roadside pullout about 1/2 mile down the beach. If you have 4x4 or smaller RV there are some excellent camping spots right on the beach just a short drive off the pavement. Lots a sand, so check it out before you drive in. Easy to get stuck.
