Bat cave of Underground River Palawan
Sky full of bats, Cagayan Valley Philippines! Poor bat fell in river!
As the Sun set on the west face of the famous Calao Cave rock formations in Peñablanca, Cagayan Valley, Philippines, a rush of bats came whooshing through to start their evening hunt.
We were lucky enough to capture this spectacular scene that lasted for a good 15 minutes. Afterward, we saw a peculiar site in the river: an object being dragged by the current onto our boat... it was a poor juvenile bat who damaged its wing during the chaos of the whole event.
Around 10,000 bats live in these caves and make their dwelling, however, everyday that passes makes them more vulnerable to habitat loss and the effects of climate change.

Philippines Bat Cave Part 2
The Heart Pumping Ride to Boracay Bat Cave
Near the end of the video, you would see an entry surrounded by plants/bushes.. Apparently we had to walk further in about 5 mins with a local guide before reaching the cave. We didn't get to experience the Bat Cave in the end as It was soo quiet upon reaching the entry, just 2 of us gals, no other tourists & 2 locals (1 driver, 1 guide). Definitely not for the faint hearted.
MILLIONS OF BATS, CAVE, TUGUEGARAU, PHILIPPINES
Every evening at 6pm, millions of bats fly out of this cave in Northern Philippines....I watched them leave the cave continuously for almost one hour, at times, darkening the sky. Can be a little difficult to reach....Get there on a very noisy, crowded tricycle for over an hour, long boat ride on the river.....and hike almost 200 hundred steps up to the cave. info@globalvideoprotv.com
