What to do in Indonesia - Wakeboard Park in Batam - Filipino Travels to Batam
Batam Indonesia is just an hour ferry ride from Singapore. If you really want to spend a day or two away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it wont make you spend a lot going to Batam from Singapore or Philippines or any part of the Asia; there a couple of things to do in Batam Indonesia.
You can definitely enjoy a day there shopping as most, if not all, of the items there are very cheap. The food variety also in Batam Indonesia is so diverse; I think most of the Asian countries do have a very wide range of food choices.
And of course, for outdoorsy people, Wakeboarding in Batam is also one of the thins that you should not miss out.

Apa itu Wakeboarding?
Wakeboarding adalah sebuah olahraga yang menggabungkan teknik dan konsep skateboarding, snowboarding, dan surfing yang hingga akhirnya memeberikan kesempatan untuk menikmati sensasi kecepatan dan menaklukan arus ombak.
Wakeboarder akan ditarik speedboat yang dihubungkan dengan seutas tali dan dijalankan dengan kecepatan 25-50km/jam. Meski wakeboarding masuk ke dalam kategori extrem sport, namun olahraga ini relatif aman untuk wanita dan anak-anak di atas usia enam tahun dan tidak dibutuhkan keahlian khusus bagi pemula. Yang perlu dilakukan hanya perlu mengikuti instruksi pelatih.
Wakeboarder akan berselancar menggunakan papan berukuran 128-142 sentimeter. Olahraga ini sendiri akan dimulai dari penguasaan basic permainan wakeboard yakni meluncur menggunakan papan wakeboard. Semakin menguasai trik tertentu, maka olahraga ini akan semakin menantang. Contohnya, jika sudah bisa menguasai gerakan memutar 360 derajat, anda akan berputar 360 derajat di udara sambil menikmati angin yang dihasilkan dari kecepatan ditarik boat dan percikan air yang ada. Di Indonesia, olahraga ini baru berkembang di beberapa kota besar seperti Batam, Bali, dan Jakarta.
Namun mengingat cukup mahalnya olahraga ini, akhirnya memunculkan alternative baru dalam bermain wakeboard. Yakni dengan penggunaan kabel.
