BATH CITY WALK FEATURING THE ROYAL CRESCENT, PULTENEY BRIDGE, PARADE GARDENS AND BATH ABBEY
Beauty of Bath”
Filmed 3rd September 2017
Running time: 20 minutes
Bath is one of my favourite English cities, a place where, several years ago, I spent many days and nights out. I return to the beautiful city in September 2017 on, unfortunately, a rather wet day. However, it doesn’t stop me touring and enjoying Bath once more…..
Filmed in the city of Bath in the county of Somerset. Locations include the Royal Crescent, The Circus, Milsom Street, Pulteney Bridge, Parade Gardens, Bath Abbey and Queen Square.
Written, researched, directed, camera and sound, edited and music by Patrick Leach.
Any other names credited in this film, i.e. Bob Morgan and Martin Roy, are pseudonyms, which I used at the time of making this film. However, I no longer use these pseudonyms as I want viewers to be clear that my films are completely my own work.

A Weekend in Bath, Somerset, England
Bath is a stunning city in Somerset, England, known for its Roman-built baths.
We spend a weekend there exploring the World Heritage site, and highly recommend visiting!
The best things to see and do in Bath:
The Roman Baths - obviously! It costs 20 pounds per person but you can easily spend a couple of hours in the museum. There's also a spa there if you're feeling luxurious. We were on a budget, but the rooftop pool looked amazing.
Bath Abbey - a Medieval/gothic church right next to the Roman Baths.
Pulteney Bridge - walk around the surrounding area - Visit The Boater pub nearby with the area's biggest beer garden for a pint.
Hire a row boat and spend a couple of hours rowing on the River Avon - this was definitely a highlight! It cost us about 10 pounds per person. If you go in larger groups you have more chance of getting a boat right away, as the couple's boats are most popular and get snapped up quickly on sunny days.
Visit the pubs! Bath has great pubs, cocktail bars and clubs. The nightlife here is actually decent.
Day trip to Stonehenge - you'll need a full day exploring Stonehenge, so if you have enough time, we definitely recommend doing a day trip from Bath.
How much it cost for the weekend for 2 people: About 300 pounds for everything in bath, and 60 for Stonehenge. This doesn't include our transport.
Expect to pay London prices for food and drinks if you're visiting nice places. However, they do in fact have a Wetherspoons in you want a cheap pint or meal.... Yeah the spoons!
Accommodation is also rather pricey - we paid about 250 pounds for an AirBnb for 1 night for 5 people.
Canal Boating - Kennet & Avon - Bath to Rowde
Spending a one week holiday on a 69 foot canal boat in celebration of my father-in-law's 70th birthday. After reaching Bath in a fairly leisurely 4 days previously, we make our way back to base in Rowde, stopping off at a number of different places along the way.
I must improve the audio speech for my next videos featuring people off-camera with lots of background noise. Annoying, but just another thing in the big ol' learning curve of amateur film/video making.

How to have the Perfect Day in Bath, England
In our final episode here in England we have made our way towards Bath to celebrate Stephens birthday.
To spend the weekend we stayed at the Queensberry Hotel, which was the perfect spot to have our getaway. I surprised Stephen with a very fancy 5 course tasting menu at the Olive Tree Restaurant for his birthday dinner...honestly one of the tastiest meals we have ever had...who thought 5 small plates could = one full belly.
Later on we headed over to Thermae Bath Spa's to have a relaxing morning in a heated spa 6 stories high above Bath. Next up we went to the original Roman baths to show you what it was like when the original baths were used during Roman times.
Then I surprised Stephen with a birthday gift...hiring a campervan and heading over to Wales :)
