The Summit - 701 King St W - Penthouse For Sale
The Summit is the Grand Dame of King West, a trendy neighbourhood of downtown Toronto. Situated on the South side of King Street West, only a half a block West of Bathurst Street, the location is ideal. While The Summit is comprised of 701, 705 & 725 King Street West, 701 is quietly tucked away from the traffic noise of it's sister buildings.
This penthouse suite is one of the largest in the building at 1,050ft. It is a 2 bedroom split plan (the bedrooms don't share a mutual wall) with 2 bathrooms. Features rarely found in a condo these days include the use of potlights throughout and a wood burning fireplace. Gleaming hardwood floors adorn the entire condo (except bathrooms). The South East views of Toronto's Financial District and the CN Tower are a real treat and offer a gourgeous view both day & night.
This building is amongst the best equipped condos in Toronto when it comes to ammenities. There is a fully staffed spa, both indoor & outdoor pools, multiple squash courts, both private & public movie theatres, athletic facilities, a games room, a business centre, a meeting room, a great outdoor courtyard with barbeques and playground for children and more!

Hopewell Rocks, New Brunswick - Canada HD Travel Channel
The Hopewell Rocks, also known as Flowerpot Rocks, are located at Hopewell Cape near Moncton, the second largest city in New Brunswick, Canada. According to the Guinness Book of Records (1975), the Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world and the tidal erosion created the Hopewell Rocks.
At the Hopewell Rocks, the extent of the tidal is recognizable particularly well. The Hopewell Rocks are located in the northern foothills of the Bay of Fundy, called Chignecto Bay. The bay is up to the 15 km wide and at low tide, the water pulls out of the bay to a large extent. During that time one can stroll over the seabed between the elevations which look like mushrooms; during high tide the rocks transform into islands.
From Moncton our journey leads towards Prince Edward Iceland.
By the way one encounters everywhere in Canada a railway museums, not surprising because the railroad played an important role in the development of the country.

Stackt Market is now open! I didn't know about this place until recently I drove by and I noticed the construction company was putting up the final touches on stacking these shipping containers around the lot. Apparently, this is an unique concept using reusable shipping containers, stacked them up and made a community out of itself in the Bathhurst Street and Front Street area in the heart of the downtown Toronto core.

Ruth Watson's commissioned installation for 'Unnerved', 'Au hasard' 2010, uses salt crystals to visually represent the earths major landforms. Countries forming the map are reversed and presented as a flip-side view as they snake across the gallery floor. Responding to the architecture of vents and walls, the work suggests a viral spread, and draws connections between seemingly unrelated issues and practices from the pain of salt rubbed into wounds to the ecological destruction caused by salt leaching, and broader cultural issues such as the appropriation of land. A valued preservative, salt is traded throughout the world and its availability played an important role in the rise and fall of economic and colonial powers. Rich in metaphor, 'Au hasard' 2010 points to the limits of cartographic knowledge and acts as a site for reflection.
Watson is fascinated by cartography. For 20 years she has explored the ways that different cartographic projections of the earths surface affect our views of the world and our place in it. Using diverse materials like washing powder and chocolate wrappers, Watson chooses methods that disrupt the authority generally accorded to maps. Like the world in which we live, Watsons maps are mutable, contingent and sometimes fragile.

Mirvish Walk of Fame. My Toronto. Part 2.
The Toronto Theatre District is Canada's largest, as well as being the third largest English-speaking theatre district in the world, after London's West End and New York City's Broadway. It is in the city's downtown, near the harbour and Lake Ontario. It is considered to be part of a larger Toronto Entertainment District.
Most of the theatre district is bounded by Adelaide Street in the north, University Avenue in the east, King Street West in the south, and Bathurst Street in the west. Some notable historic theatres are located beyond these boundaries, for example Tarragon Theatre. Toronto's theatre scene is predominantly clustered in a central area, but expands as far north as Bloor Street, south to the harbour front, and as far east as the Don River.Canada's Walk of Fame is located on several streets within the theatre district. Sports and entertainment venues in the area closely surrounding the district include the harbourfront to the south, the St. Lawrence Market, the Rogers Centre (Toronto Skydome) and the CN Tower. The city's nightclub district and bohemian Queen Street West neighbourhood are north of the theatre district.
A major new development project was announced by theatre and art patron David Mirvish in September 2012. Mirvish announced plans to demolish the Princess of Wales Theatre to construct a highrise mixed-use complex, designed by architect Frank Gehry. The complex will include an art gallery, a new campus for the Ontario College of Art and Design, and retail and condominium construction.[3] The project will be one of the largest condominium developments in North America. Mirvish hopes that the project, which will include a 60,000 square foot art gallery, will spur the growth of the arts corridor along John Street
