Bats' Cave Temple of Tua Peh Kong @ the base of penang hill, pulau penang, malaysia ...
:) :D :)
i think these are Tadarida plicata (wrinkle-lipped free tailed bats, Family Molossidae) but i cant tell for sure ... they were just barely out of reach & i didnt want to disturb them by getting too close ...
*uber* cute!!!! ... i was hoping they would have been a little more stinky (Tadarida spp. have a *lovely* musky odour!!), but the temple / cave is kept very clean & the air is thick with incense ...
thanks so much for your gracious help today, Meng!!! :)

Top best place and must visit of Georgetown, Penang - Kek Lok Si, Ayer Itam
The Kek Lok Si Temple (Chinese: 极乐寺; Penang Hokkien for Temple of Supreme Bliss or Temple of Sukhavati or Jile Si) is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam in Penang facing the sea and commanding an impressive view, and is one of the best known temples on the island. It is said to be the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia.]
It is also an important pilgrimage centre for Buddhists from Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore and other countries in Southeast Asia. This entire complex of temples was built over a period from 1890 to 1930, an inspirational initiative of Beow Lean, the Abbot. The main draw in the complex is the striking seven-storey Pagoda of Rama VI (Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas) with 10,000 alabaster and bronze statues of Buddha, and the 30.2 metres (99 ft) tall bronze statue of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy.
Mahayana Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism and traditional Chinese rituals blend into a harmonious whole, both in the temple architecture and artwork as well as in the daily activities of worshippers. The temple is heavily commercialised with shops at every level and inside the main temple complexes selling all religious paraphernalia.

What do best friends do in PENANG, MALAYSIA 2019| Travel Vlog
I recently went to Penang with my bestfriends, Gullik and Jehpeh, for our graduation trip and it was hella awesome. Despite visiting Penang for more than 5 times now, each and every visit still feels different. But of course, the people you go with make up the experience more than the place itself. A shitty place would still be fun if you have the best people with you, and a pretty place would be horrible if you're not with those whom you can enjoy with.
So yah, my verdict on Penang - 10/10 would visit again, for the 6th time, 7th time and all other times. It's a favourite go-to vacation for Malaysians as well as tourists visiting Malaysia. In fact, I'd say to spend more time out of Kuala Lumpur because that's where you get to see the diverse culture in Malaysia.
72 hours in Penang:
Where did we go this time?
1) A walk around Georgetown
2) Penang Hill
3) Baba and Nyonya Heritage museum, Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion otherwise known as the Blue Mansion
4) Upside-down museum
5) Batu Ferringhi for the beach and the Starbucks by it
6) China House, the longest coffeehouse
7) Kek Lok Si Temple
To be honest, 72 hours in Penang is not enough. If you want to fully experience Penang, you should be there for at least a week. It's a happening city, with art events, food to taste, history to admire and the list goes on.
Anyways, this video was shot entirely on my Huawei Nova 3i and edited on Quik.
I hope you'd enjoy it!
To Gullik and Jehpeh, this is a tribute to our friendship and I can't wait for many more amazing moments that we'll be spending together in this lifetime and for the next.
