Arholma Batteri var ett kustateleribatteri i ytterskärgården utanför Kappelskär, där Arholma pjäsplats har bevarats som byggnadsminne efter avvecklingen av kustartilleriet 2005.
This is the Swedish tour of Arholma Battery. If you contact the guide when you book the tour it is also available in English.
Arholma Battery was the coastal deference of the port of Kappelskär. It was completed in 1962 during the cold war in fear of an Soviet Invasion. In 1992 the gun was fired for the last time in an exercise, and in the beginning of 2000 the site was decommissioned. Because of the strong will of the locals the Arholma site was saved as a museum. Luftvärnets skjutskola 1969
Sven Rosborn gjorde sin värnpliktsutbildning på Luftvärnets skjutskola på Väddö 1969. Hans farfar hade varit med när det svenska luftvärnet grundades och hans far hade hela sitt liv tillhört luftvärnet. Vid mönstringen bestämdes därför direkt av offentliga myndigheter att även en tredje släktgeneration skulle tjäna vid luftvärnet. Här är hans film från den tid då det kalla kriget fortfarande var en realitet.
