Gua Batu Maloi caving adventure
Gua Batu Maloi located 20 minutes away from Tampin town, Negeri Sembilan. This cave, formed beneath the masses of large rocks
Total trekking length about 2.4km with 24 check points and it took around 3 hours to finish the trail.

My first attempt using GoPro Hero3. There's still a lot to learn about this camera.
Water Caving at Gua Batu Maloi, N. Sembilan
It was a day trip, the jungle trek was easy but the cave trek was truly difficult. I was relieved that we did not have to use the same path again to go back. And that is why I am sorry that we did not manage to get more recordings while in the cave. Most of it, we were in 100% complete darkness, thanks to headlamps and we were wet all the way. Also, of course there were bats, fishes, spiders, frogs, and others. Overall, it was a lifetime experience, and fun too! You should try it. Thank you TREC UiTM KBM for having us.

GUA BATU MALOI ROCK CAVING ADVENTURE, Malaysia
Located about 15km away (about 15min drive) from Tampin town, Gua Batu Maloi is a water cave located in Hutan Lipur Gua Batu Maloi. Neither formed by dissolution of limestone or other geological process, Gua Batu Maloi is not a “real cave”. Made up of congregation of huge boulders and rock formation, two rivers, one from Gunung Tampin and another from Gunung Datuk, snakes their way across the stacked granite boulders. The rocks block which goes about one km in length, block each other, with sunlight fighting to creep through the cave opening, dimly “lighting up” the dark cave chambers.
This cave system is located around two hours from Singapore in the Tampin Forest reserve in Malaysia.
Go prepared for this water caving experience. Make sure you wear full sleeved shirts and pants. The body should be minimally exposed. You have water shoes or ones that grip well on wet rocks. At some parts of the cave it can get very narrow or you may be completely submerged under water. Be warned this cave is not for the faint of heart or for the claustrophobic or if you have a fear of water.
Try not to carry anything with you. There are places you will need to literally squeeze yourself through and even a water bottle can be a hindrance. Have some water before starting out. The whole hike should not be more than two hours to a maximum of three depending on your group. Beware of leeches on the walk back through the forest. Its best to keep some salt in your bag so that once you return you can tackle the leeches. They are absolutely notorious no matter how much you try to avoid them.
According to local rules you will always need to be accompanied by a guide and that is quite true since its very easy to get lost in the cave system. There are altogether twelve check points to cover so if you are up for it, get ready for some crawling squeezing and splashing fun.
A headlamp is a must and bring change of clothes and toiletries to freshen up after.!

This is a cave located in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. With guidance, the trip took about 3-4 hrs to explore the nature. Crossing the cave that make up by stones and feeling the icy cool water along the way. Think nothing but how to across the stone in front of you and get to the other place. It is a good place to have fun with friends in a short weekend.

Gua Batu Maloi merupakan kawasan lembah di antara pertengahan dua puncak iaitu Gunung Tampin & Gunung Datuk. Terdapat mitos mengenai nama pawang Maloi yg duduk di atas batu besar di tempat ini.
