The Perfect Germany Road Trip | Bavaria, Mountains & Lakes Guide
Welcome back to Germany everybody! After visiting this beautiful country last year we have been planning our return trip - this time to German Bavaria to chase mountains and lakes
Where we stayed Haus Sonnenschein:
Our journey started in Bratislava, Slovakia where we boarded a bus to Vienna Airport, caught a flight to Stutgart, Germany and drove across the country towards Eibsee Lake - big travel day but so worth it for the views of Zugspitze Mountain.
After checking into our cute Airbnb we found a German pub serving pizza, crashed for the night and woke up to miserable weather. But we still wanted to conquer a German mountain here in the Bavarian Alps...it just happens to be Wank mountain...yep.
What a shocking day here in Germany - but so worth it!

Munich - Summer in the Bavarian City | Discover Germany
Whether you're a local or a visitor, summer in Munich is all about the beer gardens. The 200 year-old tradition is as typically Bavarian as Weisswurst and Lederhosen are. The very best spot to look down on Munich is from the top of the Frauenkirche Church. For Science and Technology fans, the German Museum is not to be missed. It's the biggest of its kind in the world.

Berchtesgaden-The Bavarian Germany in 2 days
I reached Berchtesgaden after a trip to Prague, Vienna,Zell am see, Salzburg and before i continue to Munich. The experience was amazing and in 2 full days i was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the stunning mountains views. The village is very quiet and convenient for a short escape to relax and enjoy the calming nature.

Here are some of the clips that I took during the opening day (September 19th) of my first Oktoberfest in 2015. Unfortunately, I haven't got a chance to take any of the rides! But eating German sausages and pretzel is out of the question. ????

JULY 2017 -
On this trip to Munich, Germany, rather than staying in a hotel, we decided to rent an Airbnb apartment in a local neighborhood in Munich. The prices are not cheap in Germany, but I think in comparison to what you get for a hotel room, it's still a very good value. I was with my wife, my wife's sister, and our baby Micah.
In this Munich apartment tour, I walk you through the apartment. It's just a 1 bedroom apartment, but it's really spacious and would be very comfortable living for a single or couple.
One thing I love most about living in Germany or renting an apartment in Munich / Germany, is that German design and the awareness of natural light in the house. During the day, you don't need to use any electricity for lighting.
Thank you for watching, I hope this gives you an idea about accommodation options in Munich, Germany if you plan to visit or to live in Germany.
If you want to use Airbnb, you can use my affiliate link here: to get $32 off your first booking.

Munich is a beautiful city and in this video I’m taking you on a German food tour and we also visited some of the famous attractions and sights in Munich.
Cafe Frischhut - This is a legendary cafe in Munich, known for serving schmalznudel, a savory type of German donu. I thought it was alright, but not must-eat. Total price for 3 people - 16 EUR
Viktualienmarkt Munich - This is one of the best German street food markets in Munich, with plenty of street food stalls to choose from. I tried a classic Bavarian white sausage and pretzel (Weisswurst 5.90 EUR) and leberkässemmel, which is a classic meat loaf sandwich (2.99 EUR). Viktualienmarkt Munich is one of the best places to visit as a food lover in Munich, Germany.
St. Peter's Church - We then took a walk in St. Peter’s Church, one of the most recognized churches in Munich.
Marienplatz - This is the main center of Munich, and the architecture is stunning.
Hofbräuhaus - If you ask where to eat in Munich, this will no doubt be the number one suggestion, it’s an institution in Munich. It really is an amazing culinary piece of history, a giant beer and food hall where you can eat and drink and fully embrace German food and culture. Total price for 3 people - 64.50 EUR
English Garden (Englischer Garten) - I didn’t know what to expect visiting Munich’s English Garden, but it turned out to be one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever seen. We stopped to watch the Eisbach Wave, a place in the canal where there’s rushing water and people take turns surfing the waves.
Chinesischer Turm Beer Garden - Finally to end the day we headed over to Chinesischer Turm, probably the most well known of all beer gardens in Munich. It’s a great place to hand out, eat and drink. Total price for 3 people - 45 EUR
I hope you enjoyed this Munich, Germany food and travel guide tour. Munich is a great city to visit and I fully enjoyed our trip.

MY FIRST TIME IN GERMANY! ???????? Travel with our Young Family to Fairytale Castles & Munich | Vlog
We had an amazing trip visiting Germany for the first time! It was truly a dream trip that included visiting castles (including Neuschwanstein Castle - the one the Disney castle is based on), traveling down Romantic Road (Rothenburg ob der Tauber), and exploring Munich (Hofbrauhaus, Old Town Munich, St. Peter's Church, biergartens, etc.).
We had some trouble navigating the Munich train system at first, but once we got the hang of it it was a breeze. And we apparently avoided looking like stereotypical tourists because we were stopped multiple times by actual German citizens that asked us for directions.
We travel a lot with our two young children (both toddlers) and love exposing them to new things as we travel and vacation all over the world. We will soon be sharing our experiences in Paris, France (including Disney Paris), Corfu, Greece (beautiful Greek island), and Rome, Italy. Subscribe if you want to follow along!

The Top Place to Visit in Germany!! (Bavarian Alps is breathtaking)
Welcome to the most beautiful spot in all of Germany - the Bavarian alps are absolutely breathtaking.
Thanks to Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden Germany Bavarian Alps for the incredible stay:
Honestly this is why you come to Germany - we have been absolutely blown away by the beauty of the Bavarian Alps. We were super thankful to be able to spend a couple of nights at the incredible Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden perched high up in the Alps.
After taking it all in we wanted to go and explore more so we found the cutest little lunch spot, which may have had some complications to get to. We parked our car in Austria, walked through the town of Hirschbichl, may have got lost but the best kind of lost - the views we found were jaw-dropping.
The lunch spot was called Bindalm - a little farm that sells hot chocolate and produce from the farm they run.
Find Bindalm here:
Next up we saw the most breathtaking lake in all of Germany - Konigssee - we caught the boat to St Bartholomew's red church and it really reminded us of Milford Sound in New Zealand.
We ended our final day in Germany swinging on a swing, date night dinner and a quick swim in the pool!

Adventures in Germany: Bavaria & The Alps ????????
Hiking around Bavaria and the Alps with friends during fest season. Lots of Bavarian beer, and awesome hikes. Map of all the locations I travelled to during the trip:
TOP TRAVEL TIPS:
*Since Bavaria is not the easiest place to get around, we rented a car. There are cheap options for car rentals! It was 143 Euros for 8 days, but insurance was 150 Euros for that time too. Having a car allowed me to see more though in the 9 days I was in Germany.
*If you have the means, renting a German car will simply be better and safer for the autobahn.
*I recommend staying in the small towns as opposed to any of the big cities. The experience of being able to walk around these towns is so much more memorable than walking around a big city.
*Go to as many Bavarian towns as you can. They are all amazing in there own way!
*When you get sick of Germany food, which will happen, the Italian food there is surprisingly amazing, being that they are so close to Northern Italy.
*Bring hiking clothes. Hiking is one of the best activities to do in the Alps during summer time.
*Also bring a rain jacket. It rains for a small part of the day almost every day year round in Bavaria.
*Look up the fest schedule of the Bavarian Towns. Each town has their own fest, so it's great to experience something more local.

The team put up a truly amazing performance and started Bundesliga in a perfect way with a great win. The first half was very good, we put a lot of pressure and created a lot of chances, had many smart attacks and and two of them ended up in the net. The first goal was by Süle (his debut goal) and assisted by Rudy from a freekick and Tolisso headed in the second one after a smart assist by Vidal. The whole team played amazingly and you can see how everyone is very passionate, especially our new boys. The second half wasn't so intense and Leverkusen was better than in the first half which also resulted with a goal, but we also scored after the fer used VAR and decided it was a penalty. As usual, Lewa aka the best penalty taker scored. Coman went in for Ribery after their players were trying to injure him a bit too much and he also showed a great performance. Hummels felt a bit of stomach pain but after he said it's nothing serious. Great team work, great Bayern. Oktoberfest parade, Munich, Bavaria, Germany, Europe
Oktoberfest is a 16-day festival celebrating beer held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and is the world's largest fair, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. To the locals, it is not called Oktoberfest, but die Wiesn, after the colloquial name of the fairgrounds themselves. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the original Munich event. The Munich Oktoberfest originally took place during the sixteen days up to, and including, the first Sunday in October. In 1994, the schedule was modified in response to German reunification so that if the first Sunday in October falls on the 1st or 2nd, then the festival would go on until October 3 (German Unity Day). Thus, the festival is now 17 days when the first Sunday is October 2 and 18 days when it is October 1. In 2010, the festival lasted until the first Monday in October, to mark the anniversary of the event. The festival is held in an area named the Theresienwiese (field, or meadow, of Therese), often called Wiesn for short, located near Munich's center. Large quantities of Oktoberfest Beer are consumed, with almost 7 million liters served during the 16 day festival in 2007. Visitors may also enjoy a wide variety of traditional food such as Hendl (chicken), Schweinebraten (roast pork), Schweinshaxe (grilled ham hock), Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick), Würstl (sausages) along with Brezeln (Pretzel), Knödel (potato or bread dumplings), Käsespätzle (cheese noodles), Reiberdatschi (potato pancakes), Sauerkraut or Rotkohl/Blaukraut (red cabbage) along with such Bavarian delicacies as Obatzda (a spiced cheese-butter spread) and Weisswurst (a white sausage). Only beer conforming to the Reinheitsgebot, at a minimum of 13.5% Stammwürze (approximately 6% alcohol) may be served at Oktoberfest. The beer must also be brewed within the city limits of Munich. Beers meeting these criteria may be designated Oktoberfest Beer.Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen on October 12, 1810. The citizens of Munich were invited to attend the festivities held on the fields in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event. The fields were named Theresienwiese (Theresa's meadow) in honor of the Crown Princess, and have kept that name ever since, although the locals have since abbreviated the name simply to the Wies'n. Horse races in the presence of the Royal Family marked the close of the event that was celebrated as a festival for the whole of Bavaria. The decision to repeat the horse races in the subsequent year gave rise to the tradition of the Oktoberfest. The festival was eventually prolonged and moved ahead to September to allow for better weather conditions. Today, the last day of the festival is the first Sunday in October. In 2006, the Oktoberfest extended two extra days because the first Tuesday, October 3, was a national holiday. Over the past 200 years, Oktoberfest was canceled 24 times due to cholera epidemics and war. Since 1950, there has been a traditional festival opening: A twelve gun salute and the tapping of the first keg of Oktoberfest beer at 12:00 by the incumbent Mayor of Munich with the cry Ozapft is! (It's tapped! in the Austro-Bavarian language) opens the Oktoberfest. The Mayor then gives the first beer to the Minister-President of the State of Bavaria. The first mayor to tap the keg was Thomas Wimmer. Horse races ended in 1960. By 1960, the Oktoberfest had turned into an enormous world-famous festival. Since then, foreigners began to picture Germans as wearing the Sennerhut, Lederhosen, and the girls in Dirndl. Traditional visitors wear during the Oktoberfest Bavarian hats (Tirolerhüte), which contain a tuft of goat hair. In Germany, goat hair is highly valued and prized, making it one of the most expensive objects for sale. The more tufts of goat hair on your hat, the wealthier you are considered to be. Technology helping, this tradition ended with the appearance of cheap goat hair imitations on the market. There are many problems every year with young people who overestimate their ability to handle large amounts of alcohol. Many forget that Oktoberfest beer has 5.8 to 6.3% alcohol and high sugar content (compared to an average of 5.2% of alcohol and low sugar content in German beer), and they pass out due to drunkenness. These drunk patrons are often called Bierleichen (German for beer corpses). Munich Hbf, 10 October 2012 at 4:30 in the morning.
